M&M 3e: Young Justice!

I'm not sure the player gets to decide the mechanics of how hacks work. :)
When it is only for one compaction when the character is loaded with complications? I would hop the player dose have say over how the very specific scenario is played out O_o

and as for imunities, i'm still brand new to M&M (and D&D for that matter...) so I don't realy know what is and is not ballanced (although geting toughness immunity for an extra 80 could have been funny! XD)

So what what if I make it limited and make it void telepathic abilities only?
... then again he has no stamina score and I don't think most telepathic mind affecting abilities work on objects... and ones that do would work on robots, so he relay dos not need it in the first place :/
(yep, he is considered an object... that seals the deal, latter on he is going to get an alternate form like skill that turns him into a battle suit!)

... I now have 30 more points to play with... Meh hehe he! ^_^

I'm pretty sure that he's not an object either. :)

There's a big definitional differene between 'construct' and 'object.'

Anyway, it wasn't my intention to be presumptuous. This discussion is properly beween the GM and you. I shall abdicate myself of participaton.

hmm, must have miss read it :/
Any ways, Updated him

Btw, why dos making growth permanent not give it a -1/r to cost? (hero lab makes it into a -0/r) just wandering :/
Just reread it in the book, and it says 0/r, oh well :/

Any ways, comments on the stat update? :3

Zeta: I like him on his own, but for this campaign I think he doesn't quite fit the bill for what I'm desperately trying to go for: SIDEKICKS. He's a hero, he's an android, whatever. This issue is that he's not Robin, Speedy, Aqualad, Kid Flash or Superboy.

While I realize these characters have powers, the reality is that they're sidekicks: pale shadows of their mentors, in one sense, who are supposed to be trying to break out on their own.

Echo is Brainiac
Dre is from the Legion
Solaris trains with Superman (though somewhere he must realize Supes keeps him around as emergency power, even if this is just his insecurity)
Batgirl is *batgirl*
Wondergirl is with Wonder Woman

etc.

While this guy is neat, I'm not familiar with the hero he's emulating.

I'm also not getting a teenager vibe from him.

If this were a PL10 campaign, sure. But it's a Sidekicks campaign.

Do what the others did: start with your mentor. I personally want you to pick a Justice League member, as classic as possible. There is a modern element, but I want you to start classic first.

The mentor is going to be red tornado (unless something changes)
Also, he is presently not emulating one; did not realize I was suppose to make a weakened copy of a DC superhero.

As far as age gos: semi loaded question: he would actually only be a few years old at the high side. Character wise he would be older, how much holder I've not quit settled on though, probalby 16ish with childish tendencies.

The swift summery is that he is the nonexistent nephew of Prof Hamiltonian who is very aloof and overly trusting and any thing but street wise (Also, he generally obeys the three laws.) as just sated, said nephew never was; but his mind would be made youthful. his chassis was orginaly built as a training device (made by Prof Hamiltonian) that could servive being hammered by superheroes fighting at full strength before repairing itself afterward. latter on Prof Hamiltonian requests it back because he needs to transform the conciseness of his nephew into it; in reality this is a ploy to impart a new AI into the machine that could record combat data from the J.L. as it had been doing, but also send that information to him and his constituents while also geting detailed layouts of J.L. instanations. Unbeenkown to Hamilton how ever, the AI did not simply emulate self-awareness, it was self-aware. He then joins the J.L. as a trainee after several failed attempts at heroism, something about doing what he is tolled; when he is talking to bank robbers... yesh, not a lot of commonsense...

Also, Can I get a bloody answer on Prof Hamilton!? I've asked and asked and you keep on ignoring the question and I can't make his back story upto date with out the question answered. >_<

That said, as I've commented before, I've no problem making a different character. But I'm wondering what kind of character you would be most interested in, as I've said, I would not mind making a Dryad influenced character to round out the team.

Addon: Hmm, could also make him into a Battle suit character with Pat Dugan (aka Strip) as a mentor and just side step his complex list of complications.

Dre is from the Legion
...
To be more precise, Dre is from the time of the Legion, but no full member (no invisible life support system and no flight ring) and less flexible than Chameleon, the Legion member.

He is now a trainee of the Martian Manhunter, but only has shapeshift abilities...
no eye-beams, telepathy etc.

Hmmm, Steel could also work as a mentor for him if I make him into a powered suit character (possibly alternating between both) :\

... and now I'm starting to wonder why most J.L. member's don't have armored suits; it not like they lack funding. Most of them could get a lot of benefit from the suits, even Green Lantern would be better off with one, they don't rely have to make wearing a ring hard to do, and how many times has that thing ran out of power? what would happen if he got KOed in space? ...just a random though.

Back onto point though, if having a large mecha character is an issue I can just leave him, but I would like an idea of what you would like to see :3

Hamilton: could have sworn I wrote an entire response about this; internet ate it. Basically: no, I don't want to use the character at this time. I'm still remembering him from the Superman DCAU series, and I'm not caught up on what's going on in standard DC with him.

What I'd like to see: I don't mean make a cheap copy, but I'm looking for people in spandex (sadly I chose to do this through rpgs... ;) ). Suits, capes, masks, teenage drama, whatever. That and a sense that in some serious way you're all in way over your heads. Not too powerful (ie: PL8 in a setting where PL10 is the norm). And they're a teenager *literally*. Enjoy that fact. Don't scoot up to 17.5 years old so you can right away be basically a grownup. If that's what you want, might as well have a standard game of M&M (amirite?)
Also: superhero name with some kind of Sidekick aspect to it, wouldn't hurt. I'm not saying go full elf shoes (this is theoretically still part of the show; gotta work on the tone, on my end, I find), of course.

Hate when that happens >_<

Anyways in that case, I might make a young warlock character who dabbled in powers beyond his control and got want he wanted: He also walked into the plans of a chaos lord. What did he want? Immortality (ya, he thinks of things no one has ever thought of…) how he got it was through a spell known as “The Betrayer’s Curse”; the pro is mentioned, immortality, the con however is if anything kills him, the same magic that revives, and then sustains him, also makes him subservient to his killer.
[The ritual requires, among other things, that subject, in this case himself, be ran through the hart with a dagger; so as he read it, he would be forcibly loyal to himself. Hardly something to worry himself over; having to obey himself, oh the horror.]

He did not learn the true nature of the magic until the one who toled him of the spell kind of walked up to him and, more or less, blew his head clean off. He latter awoke with his killer looming over head and wanted to throw a blast of arcane power at the fools head: he couldn’t, the figure then started commanding him around and he then instantly complied while wanting to run for his life. (and as they say, hind sight is 20 20)

As it turned out, his killer was the servant of a chaos lord who wanted a better anchor: and he had just turned into a near perfect one, having some power of his own only made things better. All that was left would be binding him to his new lord and master, who would then more or less carve out his soul; happy times. Luckily Doctor Fate was not so keen on this and saved the youth from his own stupidity: By removing the teen’s head, again. He was starting to see a pattern that was agonizingly painful.

The chaos lord could barley hold itself in the mortal ream without an anchor, and fled, leaving its followers to fend for themselves, it was very one sided. From this time forth, he has served as an, aggravated, companion of Doctor Fate. (Who has on three separate occasions, magically flung a large object into the air whenever he ‘died’ and timed it so that he got re-re-(Etc)-killed by the ‘Good Doctor’ the instant he revived.)

… I’m now just pondering if he should be turned into a kitty cat… anyways, thoughts? :3
