[M&M2E] Freedom League Unlimited (OOC)

and Elric - they way speedsters rescue people so efficiently is b/c outside of the rules, they're fast enough to run in, grab someone, and drop'em off outside 10 times in a few seconds (Not having to worry about 'taking actions'). In THIS case, I think you could get 2 at a time b/c even at the reduced speed for carrying a heavy load of 2 people you're still pretty fast.

Not sure if you have anything that lets you move-grab-move, but if you do they might not even notice when people start to 'dissapear' one or two at a time.

No, it would be hard to get even 1 person at a time with her Strength score. Her Heavy Load is 100 lbs; that means that unless she's "dragging" people around, it will reduce her movement to 5 feet per round to be carrying a person weighing over 100 lbs. To have a, say, 230 lb heavy load (enough that only rarely will bystanders weigh more than this) requires 16 Str, which is higher than what most speedsters have.

But this set of rules doesn't square that well with the genre, where Speedsters who aren't particularly strong can still save people (even somewhat heavy ones :)) well.

Well, despite how Flash is built, if you look at him, Flash is BUILT.

A lot of speedsters actually do have some kinda limited strength Quicksilver can leg press a ton for example. Speed Demon 1500 pounds.

Also a experienced speedster usually has air control which I see them use to great effect moving people around.

As for listening in I was waiting to do a bigger update instead of many disjointed ones.

About how close are we to the nearest supervillain (and who is it)? It's hard to declare actions if you don't know where you can move to. Also, Supreme Girl should probably go first and smash through the doors into the hall, clearing a path for the rest of us :)

How many hostages could PL feasibly rescue? If I spend an action point that will double her effective lifting load making a heavy load 200 pounds. Would the number of rescued hostages increase if the circle of fire is somehow removed?

Also PL could drop the grenades if we want a wider spread. Instead of throwing them she could just run to different locations and drop them. They would all hit the ground at about the same time.

The second is a good idea, the first not so much, unless two hostages combines plus her gear are under 200 pounds.

Even better than Extra Effort to double your lifting would be Extra Effort to power stunt an Area Air Control power to lift all of the hostages; however, Air Control isn't Telekinesis and isn't intended to have the same precision, so whether you can safely land that many hostages at once is probably up to h4h. If you can, though, picking them all up and "throwing them" out of the hall seems like a good opening move.

Matt, you can't take 10 (or 20) on Master Plan checks. Also, be really careful about using that Lightning Attack while there are still hostages in the area...

True, I do have to make sure that the line formed by connecting the two points that are the baddies does not pass through the hostages. However since there are only one set of hostages, and that line can begin on either side and continue on the other, and I should move fast enough to do either one, I can almost certainly ensure that I don't hit the hostages.

Are we getting a surprise round (in which we'd only get a standard or a move action)? I assume there are some closed doors between us and the villains- are there? That and my distance question above are pretty critical if you want us to post actions.
