All at once someTHING bursts through the roof of S.T.A.R. labs and impacts the Javelin. It tears through the hull and the engines explode a moment later; it had knocked them off the back, however, and far enough away from the cockpit that your part of the vehicle is not immediately destroyed.

The team is knocked about, hard, the floor rising up to impact some, ankles over seats, faces into the windshield.

Then gravity kicks in, and bodies start to rise into the air. The plane is about to hurtle to the ground!

OOC: Again, I need to know what those of you on the plane are doing in response to this upsetting turn of events.

All except Green Dragon, who made it out of the door and down onto the roof. Once there he sees the hole in the roof the "thing" made on its way out. He also sees the giant plume of smoke left by the explosion, and a human-looking shape standing there, mid-air, at the site of the impact. While merely a silhouette, you can see that it is an athletic-looking male shape, either naked or in a form-fitting body suit (ie: potentially a hero or villain).

OOC: And now, without any further ado

Chirpy has made his way to Metropolis, just in time to see everything fall to pieces... literally! After all the Superfriends were taken by Mongol, Chirpy found rioting of all sorts break out across the city. Additionally, there were bands of minor villains doing break-ins for big stakes with the major players of the Justice League gone: while the cat's away the mice will play.

Racing through to one of the more vulnerable areas, thinking (correctly) that S.T.A.R. LABS holds a number of dangerous technologies that could fall into the wrong hands, he arrived just in time to see the Justice League's Javelin struck hard and knocked out of the sky. A glance at the window of the cockpit reveals several hero-types are on board... and falling to their doom!

OOC: There ya go! I originally wrote "zerith" as your hero name, mostly because it sounds like it could be one. Maybe Zephyr? Anyway, in ya go, play nice with the other kids, and don't spoil your dinner!

[sblock=OoC] Zerith and Zerath are two of the most commonly used names for my characters: oddly enough Zerith is generally heroic and Zerath is general evil XD
that said, you said side-kickish names: the chirp just screams side-kick to me :P[/sblock]

“Frake…” zipped the high strung Chirp so quickly that most would barely even perceive the sound, even if someone was listening while he took an extremely brief moment to ponder what to do. He doubted he could get into the structure, navigate it, and then get up to the roof in time to do anything; security doors opened so slow… he also could not simply run up the walls, he would lose traction to soon. However, the building did give him his choice of 'ramps' to run up and use to catapult himself into the air, over the building, and then onto the stalling Javelin… Getting his speed and angel of approach relative to which ever ‘ramp’ he chose spot on would be complicated to say the least, there was little to no margin of error, it was utterly irresponsible and ridiculously dangerous… sadly time was in short supply, even for him.

He liked it when things weren’t boring!

The Chirp bolted towards the front of the building with a crake sounding from where he once stood.
he barreled up the narrow and bowed structural support with trifling ease, if he did not know better he would have sworn that it was there just so he could access the top of the building. He chose the ‘ramp' that was under the ‘R’ of star labs: on his way up he stepped on it and used it for a final bit of adjustment and thrust, because it protruded from the front of the structure it giving him one last thing to kick off of… he hoped he did not damage the thing, and at the very least that he would not have to pay for it. But that was just a thought in the back of his head at this point, he was rather occupied modulating his trajectory through the air by leaning, moving his arms, legs, or tail and generally changing his air resistance to steer himself, it was not as effective as the controller surfaces on an airplane, but it was the same pinnacle.

After he landed, if he landed, on the Javelin he would attempt to gain entry, grab whoever he could, while making a preference to smaller occupants that both looked less likely to survive the crash and were easier to carry, and then leap down onto the building’s roof to safely.
Still rocketing upwards the chirp had a few thoughts about his plan: what if there was no way into the Javelin? Just how safe would the roof be with a Javelin loaded with heated, thus more readily vaporized and ignited, jet fuel be? What if there was a sudden gust of wind that cased to fall on the street after hitting terminal velocity? Sometimes the Chirp hated thinking so quickly and being smart enough to know what happens when something of his consistency hit the ground at its terminal velocity… ‘There is no wind! There is one wind! There is no wind!” he started frantically thinking in a repetitive loop while still air born. It was times like this he wished he was wise instead of simply smart.

Hindsight: it’s a terrorizing thing.

[sblock=OoC] Ramps are fun when you can break the sound barrier twice over XD

The int roll is to, if needed, see if he did the cualations in his head right to acutely land on the Javolin, and the acrobatics roll is to see if he could actually do it :3

Addon: if you don't know which 'ramps' I'm talking about, look at the picture on page 20 :3[/sblock]

Relatively save in his gaseous form, Dre is also not able to help the others...:eek::eek:

Maybe Dragon knows some move to keep us aloft...
Maybe Echo can somehow tele-repair this...
Maybe Wondergirl is strong enough to keep us from falling...
Maybe Solaris is ... not able to fly!
Maybe Batgirl ... ... has a smoke bomb? ...

[sblock=OOC]
So, technology 26 was not enough :(

[sblock=WD] I get the HP rules from way back. I thought the HP was rolled by Voda Vosa for some reason. Something about him jumping, he posted the info, so I thought it was for him. Oh well. (good use of an HP, btw, but it's still a 2, and the check for S.T.A.R. labs should be harder than a mere bank hack)

Well, breaking into S.T.A.R. Labs through the phone lines in one second (even with mental quickness as a power) while theoretically possible (and awesome) wouldn't do much to change the current outcome. You likely could have done more if you'd had more time. I will give you some info as a consolation prize, however:

[sblock=Echo] The vat was opened manually, so a computer wouldn't have helped in this case. This is some sort of super clone guy designed to suck up radiation in the event of a nuclear catastrophe. Like a radiation sponge, sort of. The particular vat is part of the hazard/catastrophe section.

Also: there is more to the file, but then "Vat 5" interrupted the connection. Whatever info was left could be important.[/sblock]

[/sblock]

What about the rest of you? Combat has effectively started, btw.
