M2: The Search for Goblin HQ

Ashnar frowns, looking over the room to find any hints which way Irene may have gone - or had been taken.
"Anyone see where she might have gone?"

(
I think we should go ahead and do it now. I would suggest Charlarn or Nurlan. Any other suggestions or thoughts?
It's a bit odd to vote for a leader mid-search, but Charlarn would be Ashnar's vote ;)).

By the way, Manzanita, you're doing a great job with this adventure! I'm really enjoying it. Keep it up! :D

Thank you. A leader might well be helpful. I'll accept actions stated by Charlyn as applying to the whole party when appropriate, unless further discussion would indicate otherwise.

"Can she has gone by herself that far? I doubt. She was looking sensefull enough not to split that much. I fear something bad happen to her. We may have driven back the goblins and there leader, but I doubt they all decide to leave. Some must have stayed and they have Irene as an hostage. If I am right, there is one good point about it, an hostage have some value only alive, so don't lose hope friends, we will find her alive, or barely, but I doubt our faithfull follower, as he already show us, won't be able to help her."

On that, Rinaldo start to search more closely the room, to look for any trace of Irene.

OOC: Tracking with search...

With a "not again" look to Charlarn and Nurlan, Tenebrynn follows the others into the corridor. At the room with the blood, he makes a thurough search to see if he can find any evidence of where more recent tracks may have exited the room.

[ooc: Yay Charlarn the leader! and another good job pat on the back for Manzanita, this and its predecessor are turning out to be great adventures. You've got a loyal follower here.]

No sign of Irene is found. The group, lacking tracking, or even a good search roll, is unable to find any empirical evidence of Irene's direction.

"Well I guess this is as good a place to start looking as any." Tenebrynn says as he moves towards the open doors to the SW, taking a good look out into the courtyard.

The courtyard

The courtyard is about 60 foot square. From the vantage of the doorway, the party can see the entire clearing. The place looks deserted. There is a door into the tower next to the drawbridge. This door is closed. The overturned wagons and barrels make a barricade in front of the gate, but would not hinder the party much as long as no one was dropping burning oil on them. The West wall has been reduced to rubble in the middle. The clearing contains several garden plots, fairly well maintained, with crude wooden fencing protecting it from the small heard of goats which nibble the grass and take no notice of the party.

Charlyn is now 2nd level, thus would cure 5 pts to Nurlan, bringing him up to 9.
/snip/
OOC: I know, but the scroll he was using was written at caster level 1. 2 level 1 cure light wounds are better than 1 level 2 cure light wounds. :) Thanks for the votes of confidence.

IC: "Well the door to the tower is probably our best bet. Ashnar, could you lead the way? Everyone watch out for another ambush."
