Eanos' ears perk up at the mention of hunting humans, but as he's still playing guard, he says nothing, looking to Rinaldo and Ashnar to see their reactions.

Phillip said:
"I might be interested in other animals and beasts as well. What region do you frequent? And do you only hunt animals? How about people?"

Rinaldo doesn't seems disturb at all by the Prince last question.

"We have been frequenting mainly the jungle. We have been hunting mainly small and medium animals, and the jungle have a great ressource of such. But with our client plainly satisfied with our work, they have all the smalls animals they need and our business is expanding to larger animals, and thus, to other region. We already have contacts in swampy region and savannah. And men you said... never thought about it. I must tell that some country are against such things, but there is also a way to make people willing to follow you. But prices may be high for such business." he says, quick looking at Ashnar before continuing his conversation. "Let's me take notes." Rinaldo pick a paper and note some things, not letting anyting comprimising on the parchement. "In kind of men, what type are you thinking about. Is it humanoids of all sorts or precisely humans?"

Phillip sighs and gazes past the party. "Oh, I've no interest in other people. Just one in particular. I just thought, if you saw her, while you were hunting animals....I don't know where she is, you see. My wife, or fiancee, wandered off. She's quite young. Headstrong and foolish. The Monemvassian princess, Esmerelda. If you saw her,...you'd understand if you saw her. The fairest thing I ever saw. Worth more than any beast. Auburn hair, blue eyes, full perky..." he motions with his hands. "It wouldn't have to be illegal. She'd like it here, you see. She could have anything she wanted. It's very peaceful on the island. Safe. I'm a wealthy man. And I have no heir. The son she would bear me would be the next ruler of Three Rings. She just needs to come here, to see what its like. She would be very happy. If you can bring her here, unharmed of course, she must be completely unharmed, I would pay you quite well. 5000 gold. For the rest, 100 gps for a healthy young ape or giant bat. 75 gold for a giant owl. 50 gold for a brown bear. All animals would have to be healthy and not past their reproductive years."

"I'm happy that you're not after goblin or such creature... Esmeralda you say? That description you gives me is pretty much the description of someone I met. Her name is Persephone, or at least, it is what she told me. She is an arcanist. Last time I saw her, it was in the Earling territory. She just had been rewarded by the king She had helped him in some political matter. But that was some times ago. I doubt she is still there. But there is a possibility that my road meet her again. I'll take note of that.

And for the aninals, it is noted. efore we leave, I would ask you one question. Lately, my partner's falcon have bn attacked by some creature. I dunnot know what it was. There had been no witness, but the falcon had some fur stick on the claw. I thought to show it to one of my contact, but as you are here, you might identify it. I don't like to see my investment being attack frelly like that."

Rinaldo take the pouch and take the animal hair from it.

"What do you think of it. What creature can have such fur? And do you think it could be that creature that have attack the hawk?"

Phillip's eyes widen at Rinaldo's words.

"You have seen her? Yes, Persephone is her middle name. She is traveling under an alias, but yes, that must be her. Helping the Earling King was she? My, my. What a woman. Was she well, then? Did she ask about me?"

When offered the hair, he puts his spectacles back on and takes it with interest. He examines it closely, then sniffs it. He frowns and gazes at Rinaldo, and then the falcon, with suspicion. "Attacked you say. Where?"

"We were in the city of (OOC: Insert here the name of a city near the jungle Rinaldo knows the name. Preferably one with a port). The hawk was free and hunting for his own. We found it wounded. We ask a local hunter about that. He was surprise to see that. He told that no creature would attack an hawk in the region. He suspect that would be a creature that would not originate from that region." He pause a moment, showing that event was troubling him a bit.

"For Persephone, she didn't talk about you. She told only once that she was of noble blood, but hastly told that she had told too much. I decided it would be wiser not to ask more. She was correct, but had pass through some hard things. I think she even fought a wyvern. I would not have believed it if I wouldn't have heard about a circus that was presenting a freak show who had a wyvern as one of there creature. All the member of the circus was dead after the animals had escaped."

Phillip stares at Rinaldo suspiciously as he speaks, but the merchant is too good a bluffer to fumble his lines. Phillip glances back at the hair. "This is ape hair. The hawk was foolish, perhaps to come too close. Yes. Surely just ape hair. Odd. Don't you think, Croft?"

Phillip hands the hair to his animal keeper. Croft examines it and gives Phillip a knowing look.

"No." says Phillip. "Ape hair. It is a foolish bird you have. And lucky to be alive. Here" he hands the hair back to Rinaldo. "Any more questions? Do you think you can deliver? If so when?"

"Ape? Hmmm... I think I will be able to deliver, but first, I must go back by Orussus to see another client. Once I've met with him, I'll know more exactly how much time I'll be away hunting for the creature. I'll make you know at that time. I'll send you a message."

Ape, giant bat, giant owl and bear, surely I will be able to deal something nice in Orussus... I'll look at it after that work. thinks the merchant for himself, not lacking a moment to have some profits.

Rinaldo looks at the other to see if they doesn't seem to have something in there head before leaving.

Ashnar remains unfazed, even with the allusions of manhunt. He tries to read the men, to see if they hide something or lie. Due to that, he misses the opportunity to say that they never heard of an Esmeralda, and Rinaldo is faster. Silently, he wishes that his companions would be more careful with those revelations. But if it distracts everyone from their own investigations, that should make up for it.

"I must admit, I was surprised our hawk would get that close to be attacked, as well. He is usually more careful. But maybe, everyone has to make such experiences some time." Ashnar says, carefully touching one of his burn marks.
