If the weapon boosts crit-fishing, then Rogue may exceed Fighter, because doubling Sneak Attack dice, and Paladin may exceed fighter, because doubling Smite dice, and Ranger may exceed because doubling Hunter's Mark and Colussus Slayer dice.

Rivals for second prize include:

Ranger with Swift Quiver, Valor Bard with Swift Quiver as Magical Secret.

Warlock with Pact of the Blade, especially Hexblade, in which case action economy favors learning spells castable as bonus action (Hex) or reaction (Counterspell) or out of combat with an advantage when combat starts (Invisibility).

Wizard (Bladesinger). Cleric (War).

I want one of those claw-glove weapons, enchanted with flaming vorpal sharpness, but designed to fit onto a bear's paw, to use in Moon Druid wildshape. Attack with bear hands, not bare hands!

Yeah, but the DMG is stupid. It's way more fun to put those creatures in and have the players adapt to them.

Remember that fantasy story in which attacking the monster with normal weapons was not an adequate long-term solution to the problem, and the protagonist had to figure out something else? I enjoyed that story.

I remember enjoying some sci-fi/horror B-movies like that.

That's a pretty one-sided poll! :)

I noticed in my Storm King's Thunder game how poor the monk and paladin were at hurting things compared to the barbarian. Then the paladin gained a giant slayer sword. She's not bad at fighting any more!

The monk has a +2 bonus to Dex and Str at 6th level and likely needs help.

Cheers!
