Making Aasimar and Tiefling +0 LA

Hey all,

Im soliciting input on what would need to be done to a Tiefling and an Aasimar in order to make them +0 LA instead of +1 LA. Has anyone tackled this before? Suggestions? Ideas?

Make 'em humanoid instead of native outsider.

They lose the benefits of the type change, and the free martial weapon proficiencies that come with it.

Thanks for the input. Your suggestion is consistent with what they recommend in the Player's Guide to Faerun, but im not convinced that just making them humanoids (while this does make them lose proficiencies and make them affected by hold person and other such spells) is enough of a loss. They still get the energy resistances and two stat boosts (one penalty for the Tiefling), plus a spell per day.

What if I made them humanoid, but changed the stats around. So, for example, Aasimar get +2 wis or +2 cha and maybe -2 dex, and Tiefling get +2 int and -2 cha or something.
 

Actually, with the polymorph change, I'm not certain that making them lose the outsider type is as significant as it was before all the errata. Certainly if you use alter self, polymorph, etc. you the type change is worth the LA, but without those spells, it's mostly immunity to the "person" spells which can be a drawback (enlarge person) as well as a boon (charm person, hold person). In a vacuum, it's still probably better than the humanoid type, but I don't see it being a big deal past the first few levels.

Darkvision: Aasimars can see in the dark up to 60 feet.
Racial Skills: Aasimars have a +2 racial bonus on Spot and Listen checks.
Special Qualities: Resistance to acid 5, cold 5, and electricity 5; light (Sp) 3/day.
Automatic Languages: Common, Celestial. Bonus Languages: Draconic, Dwarven, Elven, Gnome, Halfling, Sylvan.
Favored Class: Any.

Teifling (LA +0) Medium Humanoid (Human)
Speed: 30 ft.
Ability Scores: +2 Dexterity, -2 Charisma.
Darkvision: Tieflings can see in the dark up to 60 feet.
Racial Skills: Tieflings have a +2 racial bonus on Bluff and Hide checks.
Special Qualities: Resistance to cold 5 and fire 5.
Automatic Languages: Common, Infernal. Bonus Languages: Draconic, Dwarven, Elven, Gnome, Goblin, Halfling, Orc.
Favored Class: Rogue.
