Making D&D Werewolves & Vampires more like White Wolf's

Ronin Arts has some .pdfs on vampire classes as well. I think they are for d20 Modern but with some tweaking you could use them for D&D. The conversion to D&D is in Urban Arcana.

The Complete books might be some help too with feats like Improved Toughness.

Disciplines

I ran a game in Mulhorand in the Forgotten Realms some time ago and used the basic vampire with a prestige class that gave them Serpentis Powers. I combed through the clan books and my supplements to make the 10 level prestige class and had thought to do it for all disciplines. When I get time I'll dig it out.

I figured it out. All I have to do is eliminate racial hit dice, get rid of Vampire energy drain and reduce dmg reduction. So the new werewolf and vampire would be something like this:

Werewolf: DR silver/5, alternate form, and stat boost for the weretouched master class, but werebear is only +8.

Vampire: blood drain: drains 1d4 constitution per round, vulnerability to sunlight, Ability adjustments: +2 str, +2 dex, + 2 Cha.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to make werewolves and vampires in D&D more like White Wolf's.

Make them way more pretentious, then claim that by doing so you're being intellectual, and creating a work of art. Then remind people not to look down on people who like normal vampires and werewolves while at the same time droning on about how clearly inferior they are and how desperately the misguided fools who prefer them need to be re-educated.

Make them way more pretentious ...
You forgot the mechanics.

Give them some of:
  • 3.0 haste
  • great strength
  • mind control
  • shapeshifting
  • magic

All of the attack-related powers should be quite deadly. But don't make the vampires much tougher than they were in life; vampires with even a few combat powers should rip right through even their toughest brethren. That's to discourage that vampires solve their problems with violence, you see. ;)

Um, no. Regeneration 5 to 10, not sure quite how much, trumped by fire and silver. That's in addition to the DR, by the way. Similar to Weretouched master buffs, as Warlord has said, but with a dex boost, base speed +10ft, large size, and some truly disgusting natural weapon damage.

They should probably also have the Frenzy ability from the Frenzied Beserker PrC, ignoring any damage that doesn't break through their DR of course. Gifts can be simulated with some Druid spells, or with the classes Voadam mentioned.

World of Angst Werewolves are NASTY, a party that isn't kitted up to stop them should have a very very tough time of it. But you see, we're telling a deep and spiritual story with them...thank grud Ethan Skemp took over the line and took the focus off Captain Planet with claws, and put it back where it belonged; on the eternal warrior ideal.
