I am trying to put together some miniatures for use on OpenRPG. Can someone please explain to me how to make a .gif image's background transparent.

Please use full english words and assume that I know only enough to REALLY mess up my computer.

If you do get some done do you want to put them on the mini website (which I have changed to promote 13K) http://dmsilverglass.tripod.com/dmsminis/

That would be great. I have a LARGE number of minis on my computer right now.

Do you know how to make the background on them transparent? Right now I have minis with a white background that block out the map.

I have found an interesting website that will make the background of a .gif file (only .gif files) transparent. You can then save the file to your hard drive. The image can come from your machine or from a web location.

The URL is:

http://www.gifworks.com

Silverglass, I've always loved your site. And I had forgotten that you have some of my old maps from my old Living Web camapign on there. Those old cavern maps bring back memories of characters, orcs, and ehem, death...

Man, that was a long time ago.. what? 3 years or so? What it that long ago?

IF anyone wants to get minis put up just mail them to me and I will get them up over the next couple of weeks. I've got lots of space left on tripod and also a chunk of webspace from my ISP that I've never used, although someone else would need to help me put the pages together.
