I've just started using this feat and want to make sure I'm doing it right. The feat (from pg. 70 of the Epic handbook) lets you fire multiple arrows as a standard action and says "Both arrows use the same attack roll".

So I'm assuming that you just roll one 20-sider and all of the arrows either hit or miss as a group. Then you roll damage for each arrow and apply it individually (with the stipulation that only the first one gets crit and sneak attack additions).

Is that correct?

Yep. Sounds right to me.

The first one is theonly one that gets "prescision" damage, which is generally Crits and Sneaks. I think Point Blank might be prescision type too. If you wouldn't get the damage on all three shurikens, you won't get it on all arrows.

Also if you are firing a Multishot composed of magical arrows of varying pluses, some may hit and some may miss.

I wonder what exactly falls under precision? If it's anything that has a 30ft limit, then my Favored Enemy bonus and Bracer's of Archery (damage) aren't going to do anything for the follow-up arrows either.

And Weapon Specialization, too.

Good point, I had forgotten the range limit on that. I had thought that the "Power Shot" feat from the Peerless Archer would also not apply, but there is nothing in that about range or precision.

Honestly though, getting triple your Power Shot damage for only a -2 to hit seems a bit unbalanced.

I remember reading the feat in one of the books, though not sure if it was infact the Epic Level Handbook. What are the Prereqs. for the feat? and is it that you can fire as many arrows as attack you have?

So a character with +7/+2 could fire two arrows in one attack. Is it a fullround action? or would you be able to 'effectively damage wise' fire 4 arrows in one round?

The 30 foot rule is a good marker for prescision based/not prescision based.

I think Andy Collins (the guy who wrote it) suggested that you take an additional -2 per extra arrow fired. ie, -6 if you fire 4.

The feat basicly lets you fire up to 4 arrows as a Standard Action. They can only be targeted at one target, and you only make one attack roll, taking a -2 per extra arrow (if you use the above suggested house rule)

You can only fire a number of arrows as you could normally with a Full Attack (discounting things like Rapid Shot)

There is an Epic version called Improved Multishot that lets you fire an extra arrow for every 5 more pluses. Pretty sick, especially a really high levels when you're pulling off 10+ arrows in a Standard Action.
