I'm a bit old-school - I like doing combat/whatevers on a grid-lain chalkboard with figurines.
I didn't want to move to full digital, but after a discussion with players following a bit of a mapping challenge looked for some mechanism to display a map bit-by-bit on a monitor facing the players.
Didn't like the look/feel of Roll 20: I only wanted a map display tool, not all the bells and whistles.
Anyhoo, found* Owlbear Rodeo. Quite happy with it. I have several options, including "casting" a player view to a big screen.... I'll probably just run a player view off a Chromebook.
