March '09: What are you reading?

I've been reading a lot of Sookie Stackhouse and Aura Teagarden (both by Charlaine Harris). I alos just started Inkheart.

Spirit Gate by Kate Elliot. Just started. Lots of thought in the world building.

finished and read shadow gate ... the local library is my friend and I didn't bother to check the publishing dates, spent about 10m looking for book 3, got online looking for book 3 only to find AUG 09 :-( rats.

it gets more interesting in the 2nd book, some of the description gets a bit to wordy (world building), but I liked it.

Just finished Catherynne M. Valente's "In the Cities of Coin and Spice", Book 2 of "The Orphan Tales" duology.

Wow.

Just, oh my god, wow.

Batman: Hush returns - Urgh. Not very good at all.

Nagash the Sorcerer - Warhammer book. Lots of fights, but little character building. Was glad to get it over with.

I finished the second Wild Cards book, Aces High.

Now I decided to take the plunge and am reading A Game of Thrones. I generally prefer self-contained novels, but I've heard too many good things about Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire, and was in the mood for an epic fantasy with feuding Machiavellian families.

Batman: Hush returns - Urgh. Not very good at all..

Right. Hush was incredible. Hush Returns was really not good at all. All of the mystery and tension were gone.

I'd recommend Batman: The Long Halloween if you liked Hush.
