My kids are playing the Wii games and they want to know if Mario and Luigi are married to Peach and Daisy. If they are -aren't they supposed to be kings?

In Mariokart there is a track with a giant statue of Luigi and Daisy dancing.
Even in goofy games like these, would they make such a giant statue if they weren't hitched?

No official marriages or whatnot. They Mario Brothers are not officially attached, though their relationships are probably just close enough that the princesses would enter an Anime Girl Jealousy Rage should they see their Mario brother near another woman.

Not necessarily. Given that they are a Japanese company, Nintendo might not use that assumption.

Indeed, I'd say Nintendo probably wouldn't want to answer that question either way, since one way or the other, they could be viewed as taking sides on their own country's rules of Imperial Succession.
