ooc: Now, now, no worries guys. The only reason I asked Brelach to make the check was because when I looked back through the thread to see who tied them up post #123 was the first I came to. Doesn't matter either way to be honest, since Bennit's spotted her. Her original escape attempt was scuppered with your intimidation roll (which I was a little bummed about to be honest, I'd got it all planned out and it would have been fun
, but she needed to believe you were bluffing in order for it to work.)
[sblock=Weapon] The Marshal waits until Weapon has made his way out of the house before replying.
“You misunderstand warforged.” The Marshal says, menace creeping back into his voice. “That wasn’t a request.” He motions to his men, who begin to surround Weapon, one moving behind him to cut off the entrance to the burning building, the others making a half circle around Weapon and their captain. They haven’t drawn their weapons, but judging by the way their hands hover over the hilts, they’re prepared to present arms at a moment’s notice.
“Did you honestly think you could deceive me? Your kind make poor liars you know, I really have no idea what you’re hiding but tonight’s given me a splitting headache and frankly I don’t have the patience to do this by the book. Now, we can do this the easy way down at the enclave or the hard way out here. Your choice.”
The watchmen themselves don’t look particularly formidable, but there are four of them that Weapon counts. The Marshal on the other hand shows considerable power, both in his fighting stance and in the magic he has employed to ward off the flames. If it came to a fight it is doubtful Weapon could take them all. (ooc: However a DC 10 spot check will allow Weapon to see Alysina standing across the street in the shadows, contemplating her next move)[/sblock]

Thinking it through, while most dragonmarked would be loath to bother with common adventurers without good reason, there is at least one easily reachable person Alysina can think of who might be knowledgeable in these matters, a professor up at Morgrave University named Doctor Erik Bawm. She dimly recalls hearing of Dr Bawm giving lectures on the history of the dragonmarks and the houses and even a public presentation on Sharn’s role in the War of the Mark. More humanities than magical sciences perhaps, but better than nothing and since this is Morgrave we’re talking about getting an audience should be no trouble, although considering the late… no early hour he might take exception to being dragged out of bed at the crack of dawn. Still there’s little Alysina shouldn’t be able to charm her way around.

Before Alysina can make up her mind her thoughts are briefly interrupted by the sight of two figures emerging from the burning building; one a human wrapped in ethereal light, the other the familiar lumbering warforged Weapon. Neither displays any obvious signs of burns, from the look of it they’re both magically protected, albeit by different powers.
Suddenly, the human and the watchmen seem to turn aggressive, surrounding the warforged and preparing to draw their swords. They’re not attacking, but the situation could get nasty if something isn’t done quickly. [/sblock]
