Mars Stunt Point Rules

So, anyone scrutinize these yet? Use them in play?

For those yet to read it:

If you roll a 20 in any situation where you roll a d20 in a situation where there is a consequence for failure, you can "stock" the roll. This roll becomes a stunt point, and instead of keeping the 20 for that roll, you roll again, but only a "1" fails on the re-roll.

Then you can invoke the stunt point at a later time for any roll that's not an attack against a primary villain. The GM may rule that these rolls must be spent on some dramatic maneuver that the character doesn't normally do... such as disarm or sunder.

You can also spend the stunt point to...
  • gain temporary use of a feat (sort of like the UA rules for action points)
  • to invoke an unusual circumstance (sort of like dramatic editing)
  • to negate a single hit or effect
  • to instantly kill a minor NPC in one blow
  • can be traded in for 2 action points.
