I'm looking forward to most if not all of 'em, especially Ant-Man, since it sounds pretty offbeat.

But the Avengers? Wouldn't that cost them millions in procuring the rights for one studio?

With the finicial backing that Marvel Inc. attain last year. It can be presume that they rebought all rights that pertain to the Avengers lineup. Before that, most of them were scattered to different studios.

Well, they did Fantastic Four and X-Men fairly well, and those have multiple characters. Avengers shouldn't be that much of a stretch, as long as they limit the team, to start.

Also, I found a few other Marvel films, under the "Marvel Studios Inc".

Luke Cage (2006)
Werewolf by Night (2007)
Deathlok (2008)

Yeah, but all of the FF and X-Men characters came together. But I believe ehe movie rights for many of the Avengers characters, on the other hand, already belong to a number of different studios, so getting the Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, and Ant-Man, for instance, together in the same movie... it's gonna cost a pretty penny.

I guess we'll have to wait and see. Maybe "The Avengers" team will be made up of one or two iconic Avengers and some secondary team members.

For me, Captain America would be a lock to be the team leader, but they might go with Hawkeye, along with Ant-Man and WASP. Who knows at this point. 2009 is still a ways away.

I think Marvel is producing all movies from here on out. I think one of the reason they brought all the rights back to themselves was to allow them to make crossover movies like the Avengers.

Not Antman or Wasp as they will have their own franchise, but since they haven't tied up Cap yet in another project he is very probable. I've heard (forget where) that the rest of the team will be filled out with other Avengers not yet on the big screen, such as Hawkeye, the Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and the Vision.

Actually, I knew about those but they didn't come up under the "Marvel Enterprises" page. Strange.
Really the Maneto movie is scheduled for next year? I really haven't heard much on it yet ither than they were making one. I hope they don't rush it.

Isn't there supposed to be a sequel to The Punisher movie in production? I know I've heard that it was getting made, but no idea if it has been shot yet and if/when it is coming out. I liked the first one.
