Heya Virtue

Spawn has already been done and is available from the Supers page of my website.

I'm going to convert a comic book character (Ghost/darkhorse) with the M&M rules (first try to use those rules, but I'm fairly experienced with Champions (and d20 in general) and seeing, that M&M is essentially Champions light with some (very decent) additions, that shouldn't be much of a problem). :)

Bye
Thanee

Neo,
Wanted to say thanks for you sharing all the hard work and great stats you have taken the time to create. I know I have been using your work for a little while now and wanted to stop and let you know I appreciate it all.

For the people who can't seem to help but try and complain about certain characters stats, why don't they just modify them how they want or even better yet, build their own!!

Again, Thanks! Your work has become a great resource.

You are very welcome Nuke, I'm glad my conversions have proved useful to you :)

fortunately the complainers are very few and mostly inspired the erroneous notion that my conversions are to high in Power Level, but that comes from a lack of understanding of just how they are converted and why.

There will be more conversions in the future, but atm they're on hold pending the a future Green Ronin release.

I'm sure a lot of theses are great but unforunately the first one I looked at was Wolverine. [edit: whoops spotted the second page but still...] Super Wisdom +12 and Super-Sense +9 means that three ranks of Super Sense is wasted for Spot and Listen, and the skill bonus won't stack beyond PL18. Also the Adamantium Skeleton is build with the Device Flaw, but that's onlt for external objects, IE: so it can be snatched away, or stolen. Which is not the case with his skeleton. So it seems like a pretty poor build IMHO.

Logan was one of the first ones I did.. but that aside the debate about wether or not his adamantine skeleton should have the device flaw is a discussion thats already been had..here and on the M&M boards Bagpuss :D
Basically it comes to this I wouldn't do his skeleton the same way now, knowing what I know now down the line.. and with the Device flaw being more clearly clarified by Mr Kenson..HOWEVER I support my original reasons for why at the time I gave it the device flaw. First the adamantium laced throughout logans body ins't his entire skeleton its adamantium over his normal skeleton. Second it HAS been removed in his stories already so is possible to do. And finally because the adamantium isn't the basis of Woverines powers, that is his regenerative ability (his actual mutant power) and the adamantum skeleton and claws (claws, which were however later revealed to be part of his mutation too..but only years down the line) came later. And finally because when I made the Adamantium skeleton it was originally made as a means for others to apply it to other characters, it was only later when I made wolverine that I simply used the new power during his conversion.

And there you have it, the reasons his skeletal implants had the device flaw. Like I say i'd do it differently now as I'm older and wiser, but I DO nevertheless support my original reasonings for why it was given the flaw in the first place.

Many things where conversions are concerned are open to personal interpretation.. I may go left when you would go right and vice versa.. that is not to say either way is wrong but it is nevertheless your way and all any of us can be is true to ourselves and do what we think is best and works for us.

Truth.

I've come my experience in building Champions Characters where a if flaw that never or very rarely occurs it isn't really a flaw. With the flexibility M&M offers there are usually at least two different ways to build a character if not more.

Right. The removal of Wolverine's skeleton is more of a large-scale plot event caused by the player and GM agreeing that it was time to rebuild the character.

But, as a first character, it's an understandable error to make.

True, but where my conversions are concerned something like that plot device gets statted because you cannot represent plot devices through a conversion easily any other way.

Plot devices are things to come up in play and a conversion is just a screenshot effectively of a hero or villain as they are at one point in thier careers (and inevitably covering info, frequently conflicting, produced by dozens or writers who all have thier own take on the character too).
As a result my conversions aren't too everyones taste just as Bretbo or Valdiers aren't to others too.. its just one of those things you kinda have to put up with when doing a version of something everyone knows.. you get those on the left who love it and those on the right who hate it :D

The only garuntee I will and do make anyone with my conversions is that the info in them is accurate and from actual comics, creators, interviews and so forth relating to the characters. And that those statted are done so as best I can at the time of its creation. Obviously as with anyone as and when I discover new facets to the rules or info on the character that affects future conversions and will have an affect on my work and some things inevitably turn up that I would do differently now.

But where peoples personal opinions of a conversion tend to be concerned really it tickles me when some people (as have in the past) get so irate over a conversion.. my work is just that my take on things. If people like them then cool, if they don't well they can make thier own, its all good. But if you put 10 people in a room with 10 sets of the same information on a character and ask them to convert it... what you'll end up with are 10 slightly similar but predominantly different takes on the same guy. None of which are more wrong or right than the next.
