D&D 4E Mass Wildshape for 4e druid ?

Phasics

First Post
On the back of that lovely dev blog post about Druids.

Just wanted to get your thoughts on this

Druids imho are awesome but almost always seem out of place in an adventuring group. I mean wildshape is sweet but with all the cool forms you can take everyone else is still just a plain old humanoid.

enter mass wildshape, and I'm not talking at Epic21+, I'm talking mid Heroic.

mass wildshape I
Druid can convert entire party into a few different small animals.
Everyone turns into dogs and goes unnoticed running through back alleys.
Everyone turns into monkies and makes easy work moving though a thick forest canopy
Everyone turns into albatross and approach an enemy camp without raising an eyebrow, cept from the warlord chief who take sport in downing flying albatross hehehe
but you get the idea.

there would also be paragon and epic versions of this daily power for either tiny or larger forms.
Fly through the top window of the castle as sparrows anyone ?

Would be cool if the druid could temporarily offer the party some very unique options.

Thoughts ?

By Bane's crusty beard I hope your joking. That's more than cheese.

So a wizard can't cast Mirror Image until paragon tier, but a druid will mass wild shape at low levels. Please provide a link.

EDIT: I found the link on EN World. Tried to find it on Wotc and totally failed. Gleemax sucks.

I'm pretty sure he invented this power and is just wishing for a power like this, not reporting that this is real or likely.

Yeah .... I get a little trigger happy when I see cheese like that.

Thank you troll. You win. May your conversion to 4e be painful and full of fire.

Dude. He wasn't trolling. He was sharing an idea for a power he came up with. Personally, I think the idea of a mass wildshape would be pretty cool, but I agree that it's not going to fit with 4e's power scale.

Perhaps perhaps, but my reactionary self enjoys a good ole troll hunt (tongue - cheek).

Perhaps misread his post.

Don't have a whine with my cheese, just take it with a grain of salt hehehe

You know what forget mechanics, people always seem to get hung up on the numbers and completely miss the point.

TRY THIS

Idea
Mass Wildshape
At SOME level Druid can convert the entire party including himself into a group of animals of size/shape/type YET TO BE DETERMINED.
Allowing the party to take advantage of special qualities of that form

Lets pretend I insert my personal taste of a magic-level into your post and I'm behind you 100%. I'm still thinking in 3.5 terms .... got to start ending that.

I am a warlock, having made a pact with a powerful being of the feywild. I wield eldritch energy to curse my foes, to flit from place to place on the battlefield, and to send my enemies tumbling in all directions.

And some crunchy, granola-eating treehugger wants to turn me into a frickin' dog?? Nuh uh.
