Matrix 2 reviews starting to roll in (probable spoilers)

Re: Henry

While at first it may appear that it is a special-effects extravaganza, I assure you that if your probe deeper you will find yourself wondering quite a bit more about the matrix, the machines who built it, and the humans who inhabit it, as well as the programs that live in it.

The plot may not be "scintillating" but it is interesting and thought-provoking.

And yeah, cool as hell :)

4. Persephone wanting a kiss for location of keymaster was just stupid, IMO. Just didn't seem to fit the story at all.

There was something going on there that will be revealed later, I'm sure of it. When they kissed the soundtrack had that electronic 'matrix sound' on it, like when Neo had taken the red pill...

Finally, regarding the "Humans as Batteries being Unrealistic", I have three comments concerning that:

Also, remember that the humans could be vastly, vastly wrong. That would dovetail nicely with what's revealed in this episode, though getting the free humans to swallow that whopper would be somewhat...hard. But not impossible.

Even then, it could still be partially correct; perhaps each of the human-holding pods has a superconducting heat exchanger to drain away excess heat and convert it into electricity, and the humans are simply wrong about how important that is to the machine.
