Matrix Reloaded, what does this mean?

As pointed out by Kingpaul...a better thread is:

Minor spoiler.

I was trying to parse this and I'm not sure what to make this quote.
"Your first question will be the most pertinent but the least relevant."
The Architect speaking to Neo.

Please correct me if I've got the quote wrong but what the heck is this supposed to mean. I know what I understood it to mean when I saw the movie but when I looked of the exact definations of pertinent and relevant I wasn't as sure anymore.

I had a vision of Neo calling up Link and saying:
"Link, I need a dictionary upload on the following words...."

This line really doesn't make sense unless you listen to the rest of the conversation. The question Neo asks is "Why am I here?" Well, to Neo, this is quite pertinent. He has been told that if he walks through the door, the humans win the war, just like that. Well, he knows that it wouldn't be simple, so Neo is wondering what he needs to do, what his goal is in this strange TV room.

The Architect feels that Neo is trying to put Neo down. He is terrified because he has seen what Neo will do. He is trying to put Neo down and make him feel insignificant so that Neo will actually do what he is told to do. He goes on to say that Neo is an anomaly, a glitch, the .1 out the other 99.9% of humans, or in other terms irrelevant.

So to Neo, the question is very pertinent, but to the Architect, the question is irrelevant.

Actually, the Architect seemed to be trying to flatter Neo. Telling him how special he was. Brighter than previous One's. Neo had true love where the other's just had love of humanity in general, etc etc, while palying up Neo as the rebel, a role Neo's always wanted. And then, predictably, Neo does exactly what he's told he's not supposed to do.

I had more of an image of Neo going through the door to his left , then the architect thinking to himself "It's the same every single time, don't they ever learn?"

But then, when the Architect talked about the door to Neo's left I also flashed back to the first movie and Neo mixing up left and his other left.;)

"Why am I here?" seems pretty pretinent. Well pertinent means "Having logical precise relevance to the matter at hand." so for it to also be irrelevant you appear to have a contradiction.

Problem is "Why am I here?" can be taken in a number of ways.

The two big questions "How did I come to be?" or "What is my purpose?" Then there is the smaller question "Why am I in this room, talking to the Architect."

The Architect choose to answer the first "Why am I here?" and last. IE: How the did the One come to be, and why he's in the room.

Architect: Your life is the sum of a remainder of an unbalanced equation inherent in the programming of the matrix. You are the eventuality of an anomaly which despite my sincerest efforts I have been unable to eliminate from what is otherwise a harmony of mathematical precision. While it remains a burden deciduously avoided it is not unexpected and thus not beyond a measure of control. Which has led you inexcerably here.

Neo: You haven’t answered my question.

Architect: Quite right. Interesting, that was quicker then the others.

Both of which are really irrelevant, however Neo picks up on the fact he hasn't answered his question. "Why am I here?" IE: What is my purpose? Which is the most pertinent question.

At least thats my reading.
