max strength bonus on bows

what is the maximum str (damage) bonus you can have on a bow, is it related to the size of the bow? (only 3.5 core sources)

Gotta agree with Camarath- I haven't looked myself, but I've seen it come up a few times. There is no listed maximum in the PHB, as I understand it.

The maximum Str bonus is limited by the amount of cash you can spend, and on the time the creator wants to spend on the bow.

There is no hard-coded limit in the rules. You could make a composite short bow that supports str +100 and more...

Just remember that if your Str does not meet or excead the bows Str, you get a -2 on all attacks with it.
