May-August WotC Product Catalogue

It should be interesting to see whats in the 3.5 race books other than a rehash of the old 3.0 Dragon articles on them. The Green Ronin race books are great. I doubt that the WOTC book can equal them.

Mike

I wrote a good portion of Races of Stone, and I think I can safely say that they are not simply a rehash. I agree, Hammer and Helm is a great book, and I was fortunate enough to get to work with Jesse Decker a bit on this project. He's an extremely good designer and writer, and I was quite pleased to have his input.

Personally, I'm really looking forward to seeing it come out and getting public reaction to it. It was a lot of work, but I think it was good work and I'm proud of it. I'll be interested to hear your opinion once you look at the finished work. :)

Descriptors, pleeeeease, anyone... (bended knee)

Well, I certainly realize I'm in the minority on the Boards as someone who does still buy a great many of the products WotC puts out, just for the reading value alone if nothing else. There isn't exactly a huge community here. And so I fully enjoy all the anticipation and speculation that goes into what a book may or may not contain. (Weird, huh?)

Anyway, I'm still really hoping to see the catalogue descriptions to a few more of the upcoming products listed (and I certainly do appreciate the time taken on the ones already given earlier). In particular, and in my personal curiosity order, I'd _love_ to hear about these books, if anyone gets the time, and/or the catalogue:
1.) Planar Handbook: A Player's Guide to the Planes in July
2.) Races of Stone: Book of Dwarves and Gnomes in August
3.) Forgotten Realms: Serpent Kingdoms in July
4.) Complete Divine in May
5.) Eberron Shadows of the Last War Adventure in July
6.) Eberron Campaign Setting in June (but _only_ if not imposing)

Thanks in advance, X-Marks!

I think that there's a vocal minority who don't, but most probably do. I could be wrong tho.

Genuine Genuflect

Thalmin/Curt, that was fantastic! And most illuminating as well. You're my new Hero-of-the-Week. (And likely my son's too.)

Now, as a token of appreciation, would you like your goat sacrificed to Pelor or Orcus...? :D (Goat and an Ox if you think there's anything in the 'd20 Future' description we haven't already heard before.... Just Teasing! I'm a _very_ happy camper now.)

Some smaller questions

Looking over the Catalogue info we've gathered together on this thread so far, I had a few quick questions, if no one minds:

Who are the authors of 'Star Wars Adversaries'?
What's the page count, if given, for the Eberron Adventure? In fact, are page counts given for any of the books...?
What are the prices, if given, for The Basic Set, 30 Years, and the Eberron Adventure? (Btw, I got prices for the rest of them from the GamingReport.com news-item here, if anyone missed it: http://www.gamingreport.com/article.php?sid=11048 )
And then, just out of sheer artistic curiosity, does the description of the Map Folio II make it sound like these maps are also coming straight off the website, like the description of the first Folio does? Or do these sound more original, as in custom designed for this product? (That may not be answerable from the listing, I realize.)

Well, just things that made me go 'hmmm'. Thanx, All.

P.S. Thalmin, I tried to update news of _your_ scoop with ENWorld on the main page, but the site told me I wasn't able to do so. Passwords or priorities, I guess? Just thought readers'd want to check back in again now...

*cheers* Yeah Michelle! (Definitive one of my favorite editors and writers of d20 stuff!) :)

Btw this upcoming info for 2004 does sound interesting. Thanks Thal.
