Medium Flame Dagger and Flurry

My thoughts exactly, but the spell does say "as a dagger" now does that mean that if a large wizard casts the spell that they take -2 on hit because the weapon is poorly sized?

I hate spells that add fluff that complicates the spell in the unusual situations that creep up often in D&D games

I'd say that the blade is in the form of a dagger appropriate for your size, but it is only hot enough to deal 1d4+level damage.
 

Should large creatures deal more damage with Magic Missile, Melf's Acid Arrow, and Fireball? I mean, they're bigger, so they must cast bigger spells, right?
I thought they didn't get bigger if a larger caster uses the spell.
On the other hand, the flame dagger has to grow big to fit the user, otherwise it would cause a penalty. The way it is, I don't think I'll ever see big guys casting flame dagger.
Actually, maybe the idea of scaling the power of the spell according to the size of the caster is a bad one. The way it is limit the use of certain spells, but it wouldn't allow nasty things like I was trying to do. =P

Do you guys know a spell that emulates the light saber that worth it?

This is also what I'd rule. As a spell it won't increase it's damage based on your size; a small character shouldn't/wouldn't do 1d3+1 per caster level with this spell, so a large character won't do 1d6. You also shouldn't take any penalty for inappropriately sized weapons from a spell you cast, so it should be sized right for you for proficiency sake but it will do the text damage regardless.
