[MEG] New Open World Press-1B: Village of Oester

Hi, I was wondering what Clasases/ pristage classes might be included in the new book?

No prestige classes! There were supposed to be the Dark Knight and Necromancer core classes, but those will be saved for later. It will have a template for a Darth Vader-style undead knight though. :)

I really like that cover, Hal. Plus suitable for Evil PCs, too? Very nice indeed. :D

Thanks, Melan! I'm very happy to hear that you like it.

Have you checked out The Hamlet of Thumble yet? Or are you just sick of hearing about it by now? :)

Way to go Ed!

Since this is the second Wold of Whitehorn book, are there plans for a player's guide or a regional map? The Hamlet of Thumble lists two other towns on it's map neither of which are Oester or Calas.

BTW- how have sales been for THoT? I can't get it here locally, so I feel darn lucky to have gotten this at GenCon.

Hey sir,

Where are you that you cannot get it locally? Do you have a local store that carries d20? If so, what is the name of it and where is it located?

Thanks!

Well, there's no actual FLGS within an hour drive. I pick up about 85% of my gaming needs from Leisure Time Pet & Hobby, but they won't special order, and if they happen to get something in from small company, they only get 1 copy and then it's first come first serve. They may never get another copy. The local Waldenbooks has some stuff as well, they carry all the Foul Locales but they can't order anything from Open World Press, they tell me the product isn't found in their system. We have a Borders and a Barnes & Noble but I've never seen anything from MEG at either of these places. There is also a place down on the University of Illinois campus but it's more a comic book, WOTC, and White Wolf store, I tried to get them to special order a book 2 years ago and they wouldn't do it. So, luckily for me GenCon currently is only an hour drive.

Thanks, that is great info. Walden's should have it in stock actually. They have ordered it.

No problem, did they order the Player's Archive too? I got tired of waiting around for it to appear here (the only one that antone sells here is the one by Green Ronin) so I ordered the 4 for 3 special from your website, and received them today. :D

I work for B&N and though we don't regularly carry MEG items in the store I've special ordered some of their things for myself. Not all of MEG's titles are in the system and some aren't listed as being in the warehouses, but for the titles that are listed and I'm interested in I order. That's how I got my copy of Hamlet of Thumble. Infact most of the role playing materials that are in my store are there because either I or a co-worker have ordered them for ourselves and we've gotten replenishment copies, or I've "short listed" the titles to carry in the store.

That is a seriously creepy cover picture. A mermaid with the lower half of a squid? Sick. I'm reminded of a line from South Park that I better not repeat here.

Hal, do we love this guy or do we LOVE this guy? :)

Thanks about the cover. I should mention that it is by Storn Cook, who did the last cover, too. I'm still amazed at how well he captured Veptuna the Seductress! Really great stuff.
