Melee Cunning Sneak - 3 squares but adjacent to enemy ?

I just stabbed an enemy in the back, but I am still Hidden ?

Okay so you can make a stealth check at the end of your turn if you have moved 3 squares and have cover or concealment.

Say you had "Dark Deeds Armour" and attacked with CA, to get cover.

Can you just Shift 1 and then move 2 squares away with Deft Strike and your normal attack.
You then end 3 squares away.

The Cunning Sneak however is more designed as a ranged lurker.

How about a melee Cunning Sneak.

Say that 3 squares movement left me next to an enemy whom I attacked and ended my turn adjacent to him.

I have performed all I needed to do, assuming I make the Stealth roll, to be hidden (silent and invisible), despite the fact I just stabbed him in the back by being in the square next to him.

I am still hidden, silent and invisible, but it just means he knows where I am ??

You have to end three squares away, not just move three squares. And yeah, works fine. Shadow Band is an even better epic option. Getting Shadow Walk via MCing Assassin and Warlock.

This is kind of old hat on the CharOp forums at this point, since the option has been around almost two months. The builds (melee and ranged) have been done to death and pretty on par with most other optimized builds (i.e., this isn't even overpowered, and is still underpowered relative to many other builds that do similar things defensively and in terms of damage).

Personally I love the crunch and the fluff of stalking from shadow to shadow that you actually create with all the options. Awesome.

I am trying to get this to work from a tanking perspective.
With Shield Prof, and the Blade and Buckler feat, thats a total of +7 to Defences being Hidden.

The plan is to have THP and be next to the other tank, and move those important 3 squares each time, if Hidden you dont get OA's do you.

What is a good idea to get enemies to attack you, when you are hidden, what makes them know you are hidden in a particular square.

I have no idea how you want to move 3 squares away from your starting square and stay next to the tank at the same time. If there were 2 tanks and their targets were far enough away from each other it would be possible to do what you want (*), but with a single tank - how?

(*): You could/would provoke an OA while moving from defender to defender probably triggering the punishment effect of one of the defenders. OTOH, you want to be hidden, there will be no OA.

To make a target attack an invisible you you have to either "remove" all other possible targets or deal that much damage that ignoring you will lead to the death of the target in no time.

If you could settle for a ranger build take a look at the Trailblazer at the WotC boards. High damage dual wielding ranger with great "toughness" and stickyness for a striker.

Will have about 21 THP when I crit, which will be every second round on average.
So might as well help the fighters by soaking some of it up.
Sorry we have 2 tanks.

Why are you sorry for having two tanks? I actually said that two tanks could make your concept work better but the part about being hidden makes it somehow useless again.

If you want to help tanking build a char that says hit me (*), and not I hide and try to make someone attack me.

(*): 1.) Deal massive damage so that the traget cannot ignore you >> attacks you triggering the defenders punishment effect.
1.1.) Provoke OAs triggering the defenders punishment.
2.) Get good/high defenses
2.1.) Get some resist all
2.2.) Get a constant flow of THP / get regeneration
3.) Whatever helps

But being hidden seems like it won't help tanking at all except you can mark and punish and want the target to attack someone else triggering your punishment.
