Metric Conversion Guide for PFRPG

I have just uploaded Metric Conversion Guide for PFRPG to the downloads area.

Well met!

The following document is intended to assist in the conversion from the Imperial system used in Pathfinder to the Metric system. Tables and quick conversion methods are provided for all relevant rules, with ease of use and consistensy as the primary targets.

Though created for Pathfinder, it should work just as well for D&D 3e/3.5.

The guide is 9 pages long.

You can find the file here in the downloads section. Please use this thread for comments.

Well done and I'm sure it is useful, but just for the record the very idea of metric in my fantasy gaming makes me bleed inside.

Flavorful measurement additions to your fantasy world:

1 Stone = 6.35 kilograms
1 Rod = 5.03 meters
1 Furlong = 201 meters
1 Dram = 3.7 milliliters
1 Cubit = 45.7 centimeters
1 Ell = 1.14 meters
1 Talent = 30 kilograms
1 Bushel = 35.2 liters
1 Peck = 1/4 Bushel
1 Barrel = 119 liters
1 Tun = 969 liters or 8 Barrels
1 Pipe = 1/2 Tun
1 Hogshead = 1/4 Tun

I can't imagine buying a something in liters from a medieval store owner.

Thank you so much for the extra measurements, they will definitely add flavour!

I agree, using metric in a fantasy game doesn't sound good to me either and won't be something I'm likely to do. However, having easy access to metric conversions so I as a PC or GM can grasp just how big, fast, heavy or cold something (etc.) is helps me to no end :)
