MIA: Green Slime

I know where all of the green slime went. Monte stole it. He took all of the green slime and put it into the Banewarrens.

I could tell you more, but I won't.

*Numion plays in Banewarrens*

*Hasn't encountered slime*

*A large lamp appears above his head*

*Scribbles protection from elements on his spell sheet*

Thanks, pal! ;)

Also found in The Serpent and the Scepter, the second module in S&SS's Serpent Amphora series. A whole cavern full of it, in fact, with a dastardly teleport trap that drops folks into the mess...

Muhhhhaaahahahahahaha. :)

In the Begining . . .

Crucible of Freya, the first product I can recall from Necromancer Games, has green slime. It discusses how the players might use it as a weapon against the orcs or how the orcs might use it against them instead.

Green Slime is no longer a monster, just a dungeon hazard.

However, since I love slime monsters like the types found in Japanese Fantasy Anime/Games, I wrote up stats for a Minor Slime-type monster.

Chaos Rising by (yours truly) from Necromancer Games has plenty of slime (of all variety - green slimes, undead slimes, vampiric slimes, demonic slimes).

It's good to see that the greatest monster ever created (let's just ignore this "dungeon hazard" business, ok?) is getting its due. I mean, who here hasn't had to cope with a green slime? The proto-iconic characters (Indel the Elf! Valeria the Cleric! Grimslade the Fighter! The Wizard Whose Name I Forgot!) had to cope with one. That makes it a classic, baby.

And if anyone can identify the source of those "iconics", I'll mail them a prize. That's the least I can do for someone who, like me, has a mind cluttered with useless D&D trivia.

THE SLIME ABIDES!

I miss rot grubs. I think they should return to D&D using the new "swarm" type from FF and MM3.5. A swarm of rot grubs would rule! Oooh, maybe also a mutant flying rot grub variety!
