I definitely prefer to create my own character. I'm happy to adjust to party needs if others are keen on something specific class-wise, but if we aren't in dire need of something else, I'd really like to see where Paladin goes at higher levels. (Obviously dragonborn, that was never in question.)

I totally missed you mentioning you wanted to be a Paladin. Since you're covering the Defender I'll go for an Invoker instead of a Warden! It's not a role I ever tried so it'll be interesting.

Never used Discord or Roll20, but you know what: screw it I'll learn!

It's been a hot minute (...closer to a hot decade...) but I used to know how to code up powers for the automated Roll20 4e stuff. Not necessarily the best coding, mind, but I'd figured out enough to set up conditional triggers so that, for example, tier-scaling powers should automatically perform the tier scaling without needing to be modified later.

I could just run a Living Forgotten Realms adventure, or even a Goodman Games Adventure! I could homebrew something. Would people prefer a wide open sandbox type game?

I'm up for whatever setting. You got any races to avoid?

Making your own characters is default. Pre built characters can be made for you if you don't have books/don't feel like it/etc.
No restriction on races!
Level One (4E characters actually have stuff to do at level one)
Call Celestial Steed approved (as long as it's taken at the level it was published with)
Ghost from the Past theme take able but will cost your first level feat! (going on feel with this one, may change later)

Planning on having a "lazy warlord" DMPC to fill out numbers. We have two (maybe three players) so far? Will remove if four or more. More updates to come as I think of them.

Two other bits I quite like stand out, one more default than the other. First, the Ghost from the Past theme, which is from very late 4e. It's all about History, one of my favorite skills, and comes with a natural story to it (a knight out of time, in this case, who knew the world when it was full-bright, and thus sees the world as it should, or at least could, be).

If you're still going for this, I'll make a Deva who knew your character in a previous life! Do you have a god in mind, I could synergize! I'm thinking of going for a god of Civilization or maybe Justice or even Hope?

I'm 90 percent sure I can make that time work. Call me interested.

Bahamut, always. Which would be both of the latter two things, and at least semi-related to the first (while he's not a god of civilization proper, Bahamut does get invoked at monarchs' coronations, which implies a link to good government.)

I'll probably have mine up tomorrow. Helping take care of my mom, who's got a nasty flu (thankfully, she had a flu shot earlier this year, I don't even want to think about how bad it could've been without that.)

Took a bit of effort to figure it out but I got my character sheet done!

Instead of the boring Implement Mastery feat tax I picked Coordinated Explosion. I still get a +1 to attacks but only when an ally is in my bursts and blasts. I'll be focusing my power picks on anything that says 'Target: Enemies in Burst/Blast'
