Have the basics of my character up (stats, equipment, skills). If I still have access to old campaign stuff, it may not take long at all to code up the powers side of things.

@MichaelSomething Any thoughts on what great culture my character might be from? I've taken a Background that adds to History, Scion of an Ancient Bloodline. Figure it's one of those "eldest son of a second son of a second son" kind of things, wouldn't have ever had a chance at the throne in his original time, but by far the closest living relative in the present day, especially if the royal line is otherwise extinct....as tends to happen if you've been gone a real long time. If that's cool with you, perhaps his initial side-goal to his adventuring would be to find the "true heir" (because of course the line has survived into the present! No way it died out! ), but that might change as he reconnects the threads of tattered history.

One idea I like for how someone gets from the ancient past to the present day: adventure went south and he got petrified, but in a cave or dungeon where the slow wear of time is even slower. Eventually, rediscovered long after the creature that petrified him had died, with a kind soul petitioning the church of Bahamut to free him from his stony prison.

Woot! You got anything in mind? We got a Dragonborn Paladin and a Deva Invoker, both of Bahamut, and we'll probably have a DMPC Lazy Lord following us around.

That's cool! Do we have a demon or devil type enemy that could do that? He could be a returning bad guy later on...

Consulting my crystal ball, it seems prewritten devils don't really do petrify, and those demons that do are...a bit ambitious as long-term enemies, shall we say. (As in, high Paragon or endgame Epic!) But a medusa or other similar creature could make sense.

Anything that could survive that long would be fine.
