I have seen a lot of what are you listening to threads on here before. Hey if someone wants to talk about miley cyrus who are we to judge them. It's not like everyones trying to get high post counts for threads. Some just want to talk about what they are in to.

Add to that that I couldn't find a single example of a musical discussion on the first three or four pages, nor could I remember a single example of a musical discussion ever happening here, or at least taking off and becoming something notable.

There is a discussion of the song and video She Blinded Me With Science on the first page of the Media Lounge. The OP responded in that thread too.

Well, the OP is more like a spammer than a troll. If we can get good discussion out of it, the intent of the OP hardly matters. Someone here want to discuss Miley, I see no harm in it. If not, the thread will fall by the wayside, and in a month, nobody will recall it ever existed.

Of course, if this footles around too much away from music, I'll shift it over to OT.

I listen to a lot of modern Hip-Hop but I draw a line at Miley.

People are sorta bringing up a strange but somewhat true observation- just how many Gamers listen to Hip-Hop. Seems most are into heavy metal or classical (based on comments/threads in Off Topic).
