They did have an auction, but I didn't get to it, so I have no ideal how much was sold off there.
The Hamlet if Thumble, good name for a halfling community, BTW, came in the morning mail, and I have had opportunity only to scan a bit of it. Was happy to see that a carpenter and a miller were part of the village. I'll email you later about other observations.
We had a room party Saturday night that was open to all. On Sunday night there was a sort of small gathering on our front porch here in Lake Geneva. The Kenzer crew didn't make it, so it was just us and the Trolls for beer and pizza. they left before 10 PM to get on the road, and I happily crapped out soon thereafter
Can't say what next year will bring, but another open house at our hotel room is planned already, even though I have not any formal plan to attend as yet. Yes, we had a lot of fun!
Thanks on the Thumble name. I really do hope you like it! E-mail me with your comments when you get the chance. I'd love to hear what you think.
I'd be interested in the auction if there are some good old collectibles there.
You know, Gary, you are making me really regret not hopping on a plane to go to the Milwaukee Gamefest. I am DEFINITELY going next year now. I love the Troll Lords! They are great guys to drink with. But can we have the party on your front porch again instead of a hotel room next year? That would be cool.
Heh, and the Trolls and Master Maze folks hosted us fro a great dinner at the Old Town Serbian gourmet in Milwaukee--my favorite restaurant there tied with Moe's Steak house.
The room party on Saturday night included the above crews along with some folks from Ral Partha, Inner City Games, and a few fans. As I noted, good thing more didn't show as there was barely room for the people that came. Next year we will see about a bigger suite.
As for the front porch here, sure If you want to drive to Lake Geneva after a the con and sit around with a bunch of tired folks drinking beer and mumbling now and then, y'all come!
