Min/maxing a cleric

Man, must have taken some real solid team of Designers, Editors and Play Testers to get all of that into Defenders huh?

Yep they definitely dropped the ball with Armor of Haste and some of the classes. I like the idea of making it like boots of speed so you can only use it for 10 rd a day...

But there's no real way to fix Hospitaler unless you remove 1/3 of their abilities. I don't think they need Turn undead or a Fighter's BAB. Give them a clerical BAB and they are still a good class to take.

But if you do that, it aint worth the +3 enhancement cost. That would be +1 at MAX

I normally play a cleric in our FR home campaign, and in RPGA. IMHO, THe Divine Disciple route is the way to go. You get an extra domain at first level, your spell level always increases, some really nice saving throw bonuses. And at 5th level the abilities of a native outsider are fun to play around with (Just be carefull if you decide to go plane hopping) The fact that it is only a 5 level prestige class doesn't tie up your character in lots of useless prestige levels. After that I went with the Contemplative prestige class..for that 4th domain. Extra Domains are key to a powerfull cleric, giving you possible access to non-cleric spells. And almost all of the domains give you an extra ability or bonus.
