I've got a 1st level human barbarian with good stats - Str 17, Dex 17, Con 15, Int 10, Wis 13, Cha 13.
What's the best way to min/max in terms of feats, skills and weapons/armour? And was my stat allocation correct? (Used the 4d6, keep best 3, assign method.)
How about something whacky?
Keep your stats. At level 4 get a point in str, at level 8 put a point into dex, level 12 another point into dex (this isnt necissary if you pick up a single +2 dex item, but that is up to you

). It can be mixed up in a lot of different ways, but you will want as high of a str as possible of course.
Pick up twf, itwf, gtwf, combat reflexes, weapon focus (light mace), lightning mace (not in that order, the last is from complete warrior), and improved crit (light mace)
That is up to 7 feats, which is rough of course, but long term goals.
On a full attack this will allow you 7 attacks (more with appropriate equipment). Any that you roll a 19 or 20 on you get another attack at the same bonus. Everytime. So pretty much every round you are going to get 8+ attacks. Some rounds you may get a 'lot' of attacks.
While light maces arent exactly the best weapons around so long as you make them each decently enchanted and have a big str each hit will do some pretty good damage. Plus, having lots of attacks in a round is rarely a bad thing
Eventually having a str of 30+ is not even remotely out of the question.. especially if you dump points into str.. +6 item, +5 book, +8 rage = 36 without putting any points into str at all from levels, but every bit helps of course.
not exactly standard, but it is fun! Especially once you start getting enlarged/polymorphed/whatever.
