Confrontation: Interesting background with many of the factions spawning from one another and having direct ties and antagonism towards one another for past issues.
1. Very expensive. They take the idea of 'good' characters costing more that Games Workshop started and kick it up a notch. Some of their 'leader' style figures cost over $15.
2. Assembly. The joints on many of these figures are very delicate and require a lot of finese. Some of the larger figures or the simplier figures are generally easier to handle.
3. Size: This is where the 'savings' come in. Armies are much smaller, like war bands if you will and you can probably field a 'good' army with less than twenty figures. Heck, I'd say 10-15 for variety on most armies if you're using a lot of troop types, which aren't bad in price.
Brookhurst online has some good sales on them.
Other games that are interesting include Privateer Press's Iron Kingdom's own War Machine game. You play casters who control steam golems. Not quite as expensive as Confrontation but otherwise same notes go for it.
Warhammer is one of those games where it has a lot of interesting background and some interesting armies but you require larger armies to play. Ditto for Warhammer 40K. Both have recently gone into new editions so your army should be safe for a minute or three.
