I have not dealt personally with TheWarStore, but I did hear good things about them back around when I stopped dealing with NewWave. I think a lot of people were making the same transition at the time. The other popular choice was CrazyMage, which quit selling GW stuff back when GW tried to limit their sales to internet discounters. I havent checked with them in a couple years either.

The site I'm fond of for GW and Reaper (assuming you know what you want--they don't have a picture catalog) is Great Canadian Miniatures

If you're American, enjoy the exchange rate.
If you're Canadian, enjoy not having to deal with the exchange rate (or international postage).

Allow me to give a second recommendation for Great Canadian. I have known them for quite a while through my "other" hobby (www.batreps.com) and although the shipping is slower, they have great service and great prices.

I've also met them in person and they're good folks.

For GW stuff, take a close look at the prices on boxed sets of plastics. For some reason (maybe Canadian tariffs or something) their plastics end up much cheaper than U.S. prices.

Plus, there's that exchange rate...

Basically if you are not in a hurry for shipping and you are building an army (thus, buying a lot of boxes) there is no better deal than GCM that I know of.

I ordered once from Newwave and had no issues, but read many many many many many....complaints about them and chose to take my business elsewhere, like Gamesplus a local game store. They actually have walls of minis and do not stack different figs in front of each other, it makes for a good treat.

Newwave sucks IMHO

I tried to order from them twice, twice they hit my credit card and then took around 4 months to ship product. And when the shipments arrived they were missing some stuff, calling them on the phone is pointless as they either shuffle you off to someone else who also cannot help or tell you that your stuff is on back order and will ship at a later date.
I ended up checking out dragglestown which has much better service, and then of course for the stuff I cant wait for Games Plus is the place.
They also have mail order for those of you who prefer that, and the owners and staff of the store are always helpful and never dork you around.

More hearsay:

Just last Monday a friend of mine was telling me about New Wave. He's on a mini mailing this and a thread about being "ripped off" by New Wave is a regular re-appearance. He was telling me that he just wants to shout "then why do you keep buying from them!"

He was trying to figure out why people do business with them, he figures it is because they have a very good web page.

Anyway, all second-hand reports, your mileage may vary, I have no personal experience or investment, blah blah blah

I look at new wave's site and order from others. I dont like anyone to not answer the phone. I have used Neal at the wargame store. He seems to be a good guy.
