So in your experience, characters don't end up injured -- if not dead -- after every fight scene? I simply don't see how you avoid it; not if you try to play SW D20 with the atmosphere of the movies. A squad of stormtroopers would mow you down.

Really? You must have made some weak-ass characters then. We are playing a Clone Wars game (taking place between AotC and RotS) and we literally walk through battledroids, including the so-called 'super' BDs. Destroyer Droids are a little tougher but not by much. NPCs are what give us the challenge - that and trying to dogfight in civilian aircars! :\ Our party is at 4th and 5th level btw and only one of them (my Wookie Jedi Guardian) could be considered a combat monster.

Tangent: I think they could do the best of both worlds by including RPG stat blocks in the Ultimate Missions books. The source material for the Star Wars Galaxy is so deep and pervasive that all we really need is the current books, writeups for new stuff in RPG terms, and maybe a handful of other supplements and rules revisions. Unlike the WEG era, we don't need RPG books for background material.

What exactly is the point of this poll?

"Polls are so cool. And I can make one, too! Now, what would I want a poll for? I know! I make a poll about the first thing that comes to mind and has something to do with RPG" The last part is crucial, or we would have a Coke/Pepsi Poll or something.

It's not that they'd say that we can have only one. If they keep making money with both, they will continue both. And I really doubt that they will increase sales of one by disconinuing the other. You wouldn't stop selling peanut butter so you could sell more soda, either.
