Minority Opinion: Why is the loss of the magazines just fine?

Why is the loss of Dungeon and Dragon acceptable?

Yeah, the cheese factor was a big thing, too. For a while, when polling for new players, an interest in Dragon Magazine content was a big red flag...

I was talking actual cheese...but okay! ;)

Grim,

I also see a lot of management in WotC and Hasbro making money angels. ;)

P.S. I'm taking names, all you elitist scabs.

Um, no...but I do have my own credit card...and it is platinum (but yet has a really low limit, so I'm not sure what that has to do with anything).

You keep harping on this credit card thing, they are fairly easy to get ya know...

Lessee, average age of Dragon reader (last time I saw this in Dragon) - about 25

Yeah, I know how hard it is to get a credit card for a 25 year old. :uhoh:

Mojo,

So is Heroin, Crack and most drugs. Doesn't mean we want people using em. ;)

True enough...

"Hi, We're first time users. We'd like two crack please" - From IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA (the quote is probably off a little, as it is late and I am tired, but that was the gist of it)

Naw, no platinum for me. I'm a poor working stiff. But, the hyperbole of people on an online forum bitching and moaning about using credit cards online is just too funny. How many here have ordered from Amazon? Play any MMORPG? Bought minis online? Ebay?

Come on. There's things you can whinge about with online content. This is just mental masturbation.

Hussar,

Eh I'll moan and whine later. I'm pretty in the torch and burning stage. ;)

Mojo,

Sweet! I liked the episode. ;) Good quote.

Incidentally, on the credit card thing: I actually DON'T have one. :) I've never had a need for one; I get paid via Paypal for almost all my work, so it's simply the convenient way to do business. Pretty much everyplace accepts it.

If Wizards for some bizarre reason didn't include paypal functionality, it WOULD become a blow to their potential subscriptions.
