Minority Report: Who's excited?

Shadowdancer

First Post
There's only one movie I'm more excited about seeing this year, and that's "LOTR: The Two Towers." I enjoyed "Spider-Man" and "Attack of the Clones," but judging from the previews I've seen, and the things I've read, "Minority Report" is going to be sheer greatness.

Who else can't wait?

Mmmm ... not me. Sorry.

Honestly, I'm tired of looking at Tom Cruise. But do let me know when Mission: Impossible III is out.

Otherwise, IMHO, the most anticipated movie this year (second to AotC) is MIB2.

It looks kind of interesting, but its not something I'm going to see opening night. It just really isn't grabbing my attention. I'll probably end up seeing it in the theaters if a group of friends are going to see it.

Things off of the top of my head I'm looking forward to:
MiB2
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Lotr: The Two Towers
Star Trek: Nemesis

I'm sure there are a couple more, but I can't think of them off the top of my head this early in the morning.

Gary Sinise in Imposter? January 4th.

Gary goes from respected scientist to suspected alien spy overnight and is forced to run from everyone to convince them he is himself.

Yep.

Die Another Day
Goldmember
Signs
Road to Perdition looks interesting too.

So, we have another remake of the Fugitive.

Of course it does have the Daredevil teaser which I'm keen to see.

Of course, it's based on a story by Phillip K. Dick--who also wrote Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, on which Bladerunner was based. So no, it's not exactly a remake of the Fugitive, is it?

I'm actually very much looking forward to this one. The trailers really look promising. Granted, I'm more looking forward to MiB2, Reign of Fire, Two Towers, Star Trek: Nemesis, and probably a few others I'm forgetting that are coming out this year, but I'll still be seeing it opening weekend.

I just wonder how much of the original will be left once Spielberg is finished with it.

It was originally a short story wasnt it? I expect it will have to be filled in to make a film out of it.

Still, Blade Runner showed you can make a great film inspired by a PKD story if everything comes together. And Spielberg has made a lot of good films over the years, I'm more optimistic with him at the helm than, say, Kevin Costner (the Postman) or even George Lucas. ;-)

edit:
Yes, so I am excited.
