Despite the force of the blow, Vottr sands firm.

Castagyr, turning his draconcic eys to the large man, jabs at him with his lance, however he just able to block the attempt.

Leonan, hearing the sounds of a fight, dashes around the shabby-looking inn to see Vottr tusseling with one of the largest men he's ever seen as well as two red-cloaked men attempting to flank Castagyr while he jabs at eh same large man that Vottr is working on.

Hearing the wet sound of axe-on-flesh as well as the yelling and grunting, Brlo surmised a fight had broken out at the front door. If it weren't that foolish dragon-lad it would be my foolish cousin, no doubt...

Brlo paused a moment to stow his staff and retrieve his enormous crossbow, then lumbered after Leonan while trying to load it.

ooc: stowing staff (action), move 25' after Leonan.

Brlo quickly hustles after Leonan upon hearing the sounds of battle.

Through the melee, you see the two men run towards the back room of the tavern and are lost from sight.

"Brlo, two of them are running away at the back! Keep guard and stop them! Check that shed, we'll handle the four up front!"

OOC: Brlo is ranged char so better chance to stop someone running. [MENTION=6746242]mips42[/MENTION], Leonan delays until after Brlo to see if he moves back. If Brlo/ [MENTION=93196]Axel[/MENTION] continues and attacks, I'll probably cast one spell and run back.

Hearing the larger Redbrand's comments, and seeing the other Redbrands' movement, Eddicus draws a dart and uses it in a ranged attack against the one who moved into a position behind Castagyr. He then draws his dagger and moves into melee position behind the man.

Eddicus' quickly grabs a dart and throws it at the Redbrand trying to get behind Castagyr but the Redbrand is easly able to dodge out of the way.

[/section]Castagyr growls as the fight looks to be a stalemate with neither side making headway. He did not mind the fight per se, but would have liked them all to have been together and ready instead of some half-cocked dwarf chucking axes around without even letting his supposed companion know or finish talking with the thugs.

Not wanting to be flanked, he turned on that one (1 sq south) and jabbed with his lance. This time the point of the lance pierced the thug's chest, threatening to impale the bastard.

“You miscreants should surrender now!”

Castagyr, seeing his foes trying to surround him, shifts the lance into position and drives it mightily towards the miscreant.
The lance dives heavily into the mans chest and nearly rips him in half. He falls heavily to the ground.

The large man, seeing his compatriot felled with such a blow, seems to hesitate for a moment, then shouts 'Help! Attackers!' and them swings his broad-bladed ax at Vottr. The blade finds its home and deals a heavy blow. The large man the shoves a barrel out of the was and moves to Vottrs' left

The one that was next to the big man moves up next to Castagyr and strikes at him with a wide bladed sword. The blade slips under Casta

The man that had previously moved next to Castagyr also attacks with his sword. Castagyr, however, is able to avoid his blade.
