Baldor is the leading weapons and armorer that his clan has known in the last 10 generations. A fact that his father points out to all that meet him. He left his father's house but 10 years ago to further his study, but remains in contact with him constantly. His father and sister and her kids are the only family that he has, so it's not hard to keep them abrest of his many travels. Sure there are others that are said to be better, but they are not from his clan. He spends most of his time searching for the secrets of enchantments, and for better ways to excel in his craft. He has traveled through out his world looking for secrets, and has been demanded by the most prestiges individuals of the land for his skills. Now he is beginning to search other realms for knowledge, thinking that there is not much more he can find in this one. His greatest goal is to find the secrets of crating the legendary Dwarven Throwers: a secret that had been lost for ages. He has been working on that weapon since the begining and carries with him the fruits of his labor as his primary means of protection.

Baldor may be an expert on arcane matters because of his craft, but he is still a dwarf! That means he will fight you with fist and mail, not wand and spell! Anyone to accuse him of being a mage or sorceror will soon find themselves facing his warhammer! He never cast spells, other then those that help his craft, and only during use in his craft, or furthering his exploration for secrets. Baldor has a weakness for fine ale, and a good tale. He's been known to spend a good amount on a storyteller who promised to tell him a tale he had not heard before.

Though very influential in his community, his clothing would not show it, though the quality of his arms and armor show his skill with making those items to those who know to look. His armor is some of the finest in the land, though it's not ornate, or showy. That goes with all things that he makes. They are pieces of art, but only to those who use them, not those who do not know their use.

Snipehunt, if I am in, and since I dont have the 3.5 books, I am most likely going to be playing a fighter to make things easy. Will have him posted soon, that is if I am on the playlist.

Baldor

Hi, a couple things.
It looks like your melee/ranbe BAB are mixed up.

Were you using 3.5? A lot of the equipment looks like 3.0 - Dwarven plate is 16500 now, but has DR3/- (which is cool) did you mean mithral? +2 shield is over 4000, etc.

Mithral has no effect on weapons - It's kind of a waste of money; RP, a great idea.

Otherwise, looks good! Please double check your items. Thanks.

Well, all the equipment IS 3.0, because I do not have access to the 3.5 stuff, and what I COULD see was the same for a fighter and wizard, plus the feats and skills are basically the same. The +2 Shield would have cost 4000+material, except that I created it, cutting the enchantment cost by 50% and the material cost by 66%. In 3.0, Dwarven plate was nothing more then mithral full plate, sized to a dwarf. Now is it magical? Thanks for looking for me! (I pplay from work, and the wizards boards are blocked, so I can not see the srd.)

Hi, 3.5 is pretty much the same - the play is exactly the same. But magic has changed substantially - check out the srd magic armor and weapons

You might want to check the spell lists, too - haste is different, and the buffs are nerfed. Important stuff to know.

Dwarven plate has changed - it's now adamantium, which is new. Mithral is now different. Please review the link, it has most things there. The SRD on equipment has special materials. Many prices have changed.

I didn't catch that you created items. My bad. Please make a note by the item price for things created, though, so I'll know.

Ya know, it sounds like 3.5 is a problem for many. Vote for 3.0? I'll have to redo stuff, but won't be hard for me.
I dont mind 3.5 but it will take me a little longer to create a character as I have to look through the SRD online. I would lean more towards 3.0 since I have the books but it doesnt really matter that much to me.

I've looked in the DM's guide... Wow! There sure are differences! Okay, Mithral full plate is fine. I'll make my character appropriately. The Mithral warhammer cuts the weight in half, which is no big deal... it's more for flavor, then anything! I'll also mark the created items, so that you know.

Cheers!
