It seems that Greg Bilsland has answered my question about the demon princes and such:

"It would have taken up space of monsters that would get a lot more use. We see those as appearing as part of our major storylines."
Guess we know what the "Princes of the Apocalypse" adventure book next year will be about! ;)
 





That was my question too, What is an Empyrean? There's just one stat block on the single page devotd to the monste, so it can't be too complex."Empyrean" means celestial, or related to the upper reaches of the sky.

My guess is that it's the opposite number/Celestial version of the cambion.
