Absolutely, you should run....

Yes, you should run...for the hills before the Great Cthulhu eats you!

I'll have to make some "I survived d20 CoC" buttons for CoC players. Oh, wait, no one will survive. Maybe I need to cross out the "I" and put a little "No one" in there.

OK, this was a poorly disguised bump. It won't happen again....for at least 24 hours.

[edit - changed "I won't happen...." to "It won't happen...." - though the original was funnier]

Problem is I'm a lazy something-something, so I probably won't make it down for the morning session. That leaves the afternoon...

Oh, and I DM'ed last time, so "taking the table" has been done. ^_^

Maybe I'm obtuse, but I don't get the gauntlet thing. Oblivious to all, I continue on. :)

Anyhoo...

I'm not sure if anyone's interested or not, but add a Final Fantasy-style campaign to my possible-to-DM list.

As for playing, I do have a cool concept in mind...halfling who takes levels of Ranger and Fighter, becoming something like the Harlem Globetrotter of knife-throwing. ^_^

Hi, Mark:

I have been hanging out in the In Character forum, playing in Edena of Neith's Industrial Revolution. I also have been busy.

I will do at least one slot as a DM and can do another.

For those people who played in my slot, would you like to run those characters again? I think I still have them, or can recreate them easily enough. You were a fun group to DM, especially for a guy who only had 3 hours of sleep. (Planning to get more sleep this time.:D )

William Ronald--you'll be a fantastic DM if you have more than 3 hours of sleep--because i had fun even if you were half asleep!

Mark, I'm thinkin I'll probably just play this time around since we have so many qualified people saying that they'll DM--I'll just hone my DMing skills for another day. Not to mention I still don't know what the hell I'd DM and my plots are usually damned cliche...LOL.

Looks like I'm the obtuse one! :D Of course you ran a game last time, I just wasn't keeping up with the records from last time as closely as I should have been. As for the "gauntlet", I was only issuing a half-hearted challenge in my own knuckleheaded way. :D

Shall I put you in for a Final Fantasy style game then?

If not, playing what you like will surely depend on what game you get in but that sounds like a cool concept for most. Since you'll only be able to make it to the second slot, though, you'll have to give me the definite answer on DMing or playing. I'll be setting up the schedule for who's running games from EN Boards first, and then opening up the DMing chances to those from other places (to fill out our gameday). :)

LOL I'd love to see some of those buttons at the gameday if you're serious about making them! :D

So that's where you've been! :D

I'll mark you in as taking one table as DM and let me know if you'd like to run two games (or possibly a two round game that could possibly have some, or all, of the same players?) It'd be interesting to have a marathon game, with breaks of course, for those who'd like to try and go the distance! No one ever gets the chance to play in something like that at most organized events. :)

Don't forget that with six tables (roughly) and two slots, we have twelve opportunities for people to DM! :D We've got a few months before the big day so coming up with a scenario shouldn't be too tough. I might even have a few ideas for you if you'd like to talk off of the boards. Up to you, ultimately, but don't think we've got every slot covered yet or that you'd be sqeezing anyone else out. I'll leave it open until we talk more just to be sure. :)

Hm....

Well, I suppose I'll bite. :)

Put me down for DMing something Final Fantasy in the afternoon slot. And if no one signs up for it, I'll play someone else's. :)

Well, now I have to make them!

I think I'll make a bunch of the "I survived d20 CoC " buttons, but you only get those if your character lives (and isn't 100% insane) at the end of the CoC module.

I'll have to make a second set of "I died..." buttons. ;)

And a third set of "I went insane..." buttons. ;) ;)

I guess this means I'm GM'ing a CoC game. If someone else wants to GM it, I can still make the buttons, though!
