Here is the list I gotten so far. If games keep coming in I'll try to keep it updated. I included a total count, and theme/level requests as well. I apologize if I left anyone's request out.

Thanks Baron! I'm thinking of keeping this going through the weekend before setting up for GM suggestions. It's a new way of approaching the Gameday that I hope people will find creates better opportunities for them as players and GMs.

Ready Groups at the Gameday?

Hola Mark. If I go, I'll probably drag my whole crew along like I did last time. Would that be a problem? They had a blast and enjoyed the prizes too. :D

Well I do hope you can make it, JGK, but I hope you will also tip off the group even if you can't. One of the benefits of these days iws being able to game with folks that you would not normally meet, eh? :)

WEG SW is a breeze, 'sides, it also means that its more of a game of "you tell me what you'd like the character to do" than "oh, I know this rule allows me to do this" if a lot of folks haven't played WEG SW. :) To a GM, the former is a godsend! yay! Not to mention, the WEG rules are even easier than d20 to learn as the "core rules" are less involved... only downside really is number of d6s high level characters have to roll, but if its a low to mid adventure thats not a problem.
Eh, I'd still rather play d20 Star Wars if I'm playing Star Wars. I've never been a fan of rolling big handfuls of dice, and I don't really want to learn a new system at this point whether it's simpler or not. Especially since the system is out of print and the setting is in print in another system.
And 'sides I detest classes. I tolerate them in D&D cuz I've been playing since like '84 or so, but outside it they just don't belong.
OK.

Left off one request for Decipher's Lord of the Rings game.

EDIT: Will this post be edited to remain up to date?

Don't have d20 SW, don't want to give WotC money for it, etc. :)

And yes, the one big drawback of d6 SW was always the number of dice, but for a good campaign, you don't need to roll tons of dice.

Especially since the system is out of print.

But thats the greatest boon to a GM, especially when doing one off things like the Chicago GameDay. Basically it comes down to the GM knowing the rules and most of the players don't, so they can just worry about deciding what they want to do to get through and solve the adventure. After all, you don't see Han Solo worrying about which ruleset to use when blasting away at Stormtroopers do ya? :)

I just hope Chicago Gameday really isn't just "Chicago d20 Gameday". :)

Looks like I'll be able to make it down with a friend (first time for both of us -- sounds like a blast).

Games we'd be interested in:

D&D 3E
Decipher's LOTR
SW D20
Paranoia
Traveller D20

Acutally, I only have D&D 3E and Paranoia, but if the others get slotted I may pick them up.

Hasn't it always pretty much been Chicago d20 Gamesday? After all, it's being organized on a D&D messageboard for primarily D&D players and always has been. Because d20 and D&D to some extent are a bit inseperable, expanding that to d20 makes a lot of sense.

And, I'm not saying what I think the gamesday should or shouldn't be, really. I'm just stating that I wouldn't mind playing d20 Star Wars. I have much less interest in playing WEG Star Wars at the games day. I'll pick other games first.

Well with the inclusion of RPG.net into the fold for this Chicago Gameday, then it really shouldn't be, no?

Mms, ok. My reason for wanting to go is to play/GM games of interest that I won't normally play with my gaming group [i.e. anything but D&D 3rd Ed. and Necro]. This is both from a rules and setting aspect. If I've misunderstood the point of "GameDay", then I'll bow out now.

Nope you did not misunderstand, gameday is just that a day for games. The first one was very heavy D&D and each one after has expanded a little further into other d20 games and non d20 games. Like you, many get to play D&D regularly and want to try something else, others stick with what they know and like. Others come to meet new people and play whatever, the game type is secondary.

I look forward to seeing you on the 15th.
