Hi!
I need some assistance pricing out an item for a warforged PsyWar. I'm thinking that I'd like to get a psicrown with the following powers:
Concealing Amorpha, Greater (Shaper 3)
Psionic Repair (Shaper 2)
Can someone help me calculate the cost? I've done this three times and managed to get three different sets of numbers. If possible, I'd like the Psionic Repair power to be manifested at at least 7th level (for an additional 2d8 points of healing).
If I understand correctly, I need to price the item as if the manifester level is at least level 8, right? That's the minimum for creating a psicrown.
So the formula is (power level * manifester level * 375) + (power level * manifester level * 281.25). Manifester level is 8, so it should be: (3 * 8 * 375) + (2 * 8 * 281.25). That's 18000.
But the rule also says, "Alternatively, if you want to have a higher manifester level in the psicrown, you must pay for the psicrown as if the highest-level power is one level higher for each additional two manifester levels you want."
This is where I get confused. What if I only need the psionic repair to be manifested at level 7 (or, I guess 8)?
Does that mean that I need to price the item out as if concealing amorpha is a level 4 power? Or do I need to view it as if psionic repair is the higher level power since I'm increasing its manifester level by 4 (thereby raising its power level to 4)?
Under the first option, it's (4 * 8 * 375) + (2 * 8 * 281.25). The total is therefore 21000.
Under the second, it's (4 * 8 * 375) + (3 * 8 * 281.25). This total would be 25500.
I'd really prefer it to be the first option. I'd settle for the second. I really hope it's not the third.
