In retrospect, it did indeed appear that way.
Kai Lord said:Sounds like a pretty naive statement in this Age of Errata.
Not really. It only sounds naive when you snip out the rest of the relevant post, especially when I went to voice my opinion on how it wasn't terribly unbalanced.
Kai Lord said:If no creature has more than 100 or so HD, then saying "up to 160 HD" is effectively no different than saying "up to 10,000 HD" or even "kills any creature, regardless of HD."
But there are creatures with far more hit die than that, which is why I said what I did, which is also why my statement wasn't naive, as I had a basis for it.
What is naive, however, is when people make an unedjucated balance related judgement about a game device when they don't know how it works or how it relates to other rules.
But I can't complain too much, as I've made plenty of those. Anybody that witnessed the thread regarding the cost of magic items for spellcasters that make them should know what I mean by that. Hell, I'll never be able to get rid of that blemish. You can thank Weeble for edjucating me on that issue.

Kai Lord said:It doesn't matter though, since I guess there is a creature with almost 250 HD. Looks like my initial assumption was wrong.
Hey, it's no big deal. I mean, what, the book has been released for 2 days now? Maybe 3? I can't blame you or anything.
Also, I apologize for the short post, but I find it terribly irritating when people start ripping apart the epic level rules, claiming that they are unbalanced, sloppy, etc, etc, when they haven't even seen the rules in at least a semi-complete form.
I had just come from a thread on the General Discussion board that was basically merely an infantile ELH bashing session.
