(Mongoose) Licences and RPGs

Don't you worry about spreading yourselves a little thin, what with 2000AD (JD and Slaine, for now), and now these two major projects, and a third, plus all your standard D&D stuff?

Bagpuss: Ordinarily I would be. However, thanks to all the kind support of our fans, Mongoose has grown rapidly over the past twelve months. We have three dedicated house writers (and are currently advertising for a fourth), two editors, and a sales rep, all working full-time (and not including the guys actually running the business side of the company). We have our own premises (no, we are not working from bedrooms!), literally dozens of freelance writers and artists, plus, at last count, nearly 150 playtesters.

Basically, we have made sure the support for each of our lines is in place every time we expand and, rather than letting standards slip, we have _seriously_ raised the bar on production quality - check out the WarMech preview featured on EN World for an example of what we are planning.

It _is_ hard work. But we love it. And if things start to falter, I am sure you guys will be the first to let us know :)

Mongoose Matt,

I just looked over the Enworld News page and could find nothing about WarMech. Am I looking in the correct place?

And while I've got your attention I just want you to know that my group is enjoying the Judge Dredd RPG tremendously. Nice job!

Now, about that WarMech...? ;)

Conan rocks! I've been waiting for a Conan RPG. So will this be D20? Will you be reinventing the D20 wheel with this, or will this be handled as a campaign setting? I prefer the latter to the former so that most of the book will include source info and useful stuff rather than rules on how to adjudicate combat and character creation.

Then again, I did write the badger, so I may be biased. . .

The Badger, you aren't talking about the really perverse, psycopathic, superhero that had me spraying coffee out my nose with nearly every issue? Tell me this is another Badger.

Good and Bad - It would have been cool, but you would be in a padded room :D You English and your expressions - It isn't anything like "easing the badger" is it? (an inn in the Wheel of Time, that has drawn much speculation over the source of the name).

Badgers always have such negative conatations, or they are dirty jokes.

PS - congrats on the stellar work I know you folks will do.

12,000 to one? Huummmmm, English expressions. Engish RPG publisher, English Fantasy Series?

I duuunnnnooo?
