Monk bonus feats and prerequisites

First Post
From the SRD (my emphasis in red):

Bonus Feat
At 1st level, a monk may select either Improved Grapple or Stunning Fist as a bonus feat. At 2nd level, she may select either Combat Reflexes or Deflect Arrows as a bonus feat. At 6th level, she may select either Improved Disarm or Improved Trip as a bonus feat. A monk need not have any of the prerequisites normally required for these feats to select them.
Let's say a monk reaches sixth level and takes Improved Disarm as his bonus feat. For his 'normal' feat can he also select Improved Trip even if he doesn't have Combat Expertise? Or does the emphasised sentence above apply strictly to the selection of bonus feats only?

Since that text is specifically inside the description of the Bonus Feat class ability, I would say that it applies only to the monk bonus feats.

Thanks guys. I thought that might be the case. I was working on an idea for a half-orc monk with Exotic Weapon Proficiency (spiked chain) and was trying to save on feats by not having to take Combat Expertise to pick up the second 'Improved' feat at 6th level.
