Monks vs Adamantine DR

Alrighty!

Thanks for the info everyone. We don't have a problem with the Scarab, but were just wondering if there were any other options.

Thanks again...

There are always other options. Create a wizard or cleric spell, put it on a scroll to either lower DR for 1 round/lvl or to allow one creature to ignore X pts. of DR for 1 rd/lvl. Create a special quality for weapons that allows a monk weapon to do damage as the unarmed attack and make it adamantine. Create gloves of rusting grasp for the monk. If the DM is willing to house-rule stuff to make things easier for the monk, that's at his discretion, too.

Earth Hammer, Races of Stone, p.162.

Cleric 5/Paladin 3 spell, makes target melee weapon touched deal damage as if one size larger, and overcomes damage reduction as if made of adamantine.

And as a Monk's Fists count as both a natural and Manufactured weapons, that would work quite well; as would the GolemBane item, or temporarily relegating the monk to a support roll - give the monk a Wand of Cure (whatever level) wounds, and the monk can zip around healing the party via touch (due to increased speed).

Wow.

Alrighty then, time for this player of clerics to look into that book.....
