Hi all! :)

Incidently the thought of that Flesh Jelly is creeping me out Ed - nice work! :D

I wanted to ask about the Titanic Frog/Titanic Creature Template - by 'titanic' is that a new size above Colossal. If so how is that work (standard size increase?)

LOL - thanks for the clarification. All this d20 makes my head spin. ;)

With this in mind, I can state for fact that the Bone Ooze is absolutely original, has nothing in common with any undead ooze, and has no undead qualities whatssoever. That also goes for the flesh jelly in MM2.

No problem Ed. Glad I can help out.

I figured as much when they put out on the two. The Flesh Jelly...have no idea what that might relate to...but I'll take your word on it Ed. :)

The Titanic Creature is a template that turns a smaller creature into one of humongous proportion (think "Attack of the 50-foot Woman"). I bandied about with calling it "Gargantua" and "Gargantuan" -- but that made the templated creature sound like some 1950s B-movie. I went with Titanic because it just sounded better to the ear...

As for the flesh jelly, it is very, very, very creepy... and yet I have this strange attachment to it. ;) I love the artwork for it.

So its the same increase across the board then?

ie. A Titanic human would be larger than a Titanic Frog for instance?

Is it a four scale increase (Medium to Colossal for instance).

Out of curiousity what is the CR modifier anyone?

I can't wait to see the book - I love the proliferation of high-level monsters.

Incidently Ed are you getting to work on the Fiend Folio?

I was putting out the ideas for Law and Chaostouched on the Planewalker message boards years ago. Just happy the idea was finally given official credence. :)

Now...Neutral-touched, Rilmani...these, I would LOVE to see. One of the minor irritations I've had about 3e is that Neutral is just the "everything else zone." There's no icons of the neutral alignment, no unique beings or forces for them to harnass, jus'...nothing.

I wants it! :)

The titanic template does not apply to humanoids... only lesser creatures like vermin and animals. It makes them all gargantuan in size (so a titanic boar is the same size as a titanic mouse. Of course, you as DM could scale each creature larger by following the progression provided but for the sake of simplifying things for the DM, I decided to keep the application of the titanic template as universal as possible). The template has a sliding scale for different sizes so you can adjust easily for a small creature versus a fine creature. The CR adjustment added about 12 or 13 to the original creature (I left my copy of the MM2 in the car).

And alas, I am not working on the Fiend Folio. I found out about it the way most of you did - by reading ENworld news! :)

There's a similar template in my upcoming pet project (Gnomish Space patrol) - I called it the "Amazing Colossal" template because it sounds like something out of a 50's B-movie. :D

Drat. I was thinking this'd be a real news story:

"MM2 hits LA Area - leaves crater 40' wide, public school levelled..."
