With a regular release date of 9/30 the WPN date would be 9/19. If 9/16 is the new date then the WPN new date would be 9/5 (or 22 days from now).

So, PHB, MM, *and* Ghosts of Dragonspear Castle, plus a set of Gen Con 2014 exclusive dice. That's already over the $100 ticket price. And I am guessing they are getting a number of other miscellaneous doo-dads. Maybe a t-shirt? Pens and whatnots. Nice. Very, very nice.

I'm amazed how wrong I was about the production schedule on these books. They were sent to the printer just weeks ago.

Now, if I was going to GenCon, I doubt I'd have spent $100 for the privilege to play D&D...unless perhaps I knew ahead of time what I was getting for said $100.
Hell, you'd have to pay me just to endure the mass of humanity. So it's tough to think woulda, coulda, shoulda, at least for me.

Yes, all those book publishing experts that claimed back in April that anything not already at the printers would never make a Gencon release.
So, instead of being at GenCon, getting all the goodies, I'm here watching over you guys? TANJ* it!

There are a lot of experts about a lot of things around here...as opposed to actual professionals.

This time I promised my wife that I would wait and get the MM and DMG from Amazon and not impulse buy them from the LGS like I did with the PHB
